If you need an ocean front house for 32 people, this is a good choice. It has the bedding listed and the main floor easily holds everyone in different areas, yet all in the same general space. The kitchen appliances (2 fridges, 2 dishwasher, stovetop and oven) worked fine and I believe at least one of the icemakers did as well. Also, TV’s worked fine. However, there were issues. First was that the A/C on half the main floor didn’t work from Sat – Tues. It was fixed at that time, but the temperature in the main living area, kitchen and 1 BR was 80. (See pix). Next, and I can’t blame this entirely on the house, but the backyard flooded when it rained, and the path to the beach was flooded the entire trip. It was pretty gross and smelly. (See pix). I spoke with management about this and they said they were pumping but there was no more they could do because of the weather. (Suggestion – build a raised path like the neighbors had.)The pool and back area had a ton of those pine needles on/in it when we arrived, but that may have been from the rain. Finally, the house is nice but the finishes are wearing badly. We had a kitchen garbage can front panel just fall off and many BR doors are very sticky – along with similar issues with shower doors that didn’t work. These last things didn’t have too much of an effect on our stay, but the house could use upgrades / replacements. Lots of consumer grade stuff that is wearing out and with a very high weekly price, people expect more.

We'll be back!

Perfect accommodations for a perfect long weekend 4-night stay. Everyone said how relaxing the weekend was. I'm not sure who enjoyed the beach more, us or the dogs! We walked and biked the beach every day and even biked 5 miles south to the jetty. The kitchen was perfect for our spaghetti and low country boil dinner nights. Although we had only one child with us, many enjoyed the game room too. One of the best things about this home was the 5 king bedrooms all with ensuite baths for all the married couples.

Very Nice Place

The home is really nice. Huge for our group. Some of the doors don't close or lock (Front & Downstairs Back). Wasn't a big deal as we were older men who weren't really concerned. Families with kids might have issues. Ice maker door was broken and needed to be fixed.

Issues: Three outer doors would not latch unless locked. Pool was not clean and had not been cleaned in some time (green slime forming on pool side walls). Water was clear. Kids loved the game room porch area.

this property was more than we expected and very private. had everything we needed.

all the rooms were amazing and most of the bedrooms had an beautiful walk in shower. There was plenty of dishes and utensils for all of us. The only problem we had was that the cleaning people did not finish until almost 5:30. But other than that everything was wonderful.

Ocean joy

Beautiful view and access to the beach. We loved the house but it needs some TLC. The 4 sliced toaster only toasted 2. Full beds are hard but kings are soft. Teflon pans were scratched because there’s no Teflon spatulas. There were no umbrellas on the upper patio but a dirty umbrella stand. There’s plenty of plates, glasses and silverware. We loved all the seating too although chair cushions need cleaning. There were only 8 beach towels which wasn’t nearly enough for a house that size. The location was great.

Beautiful Home

We were a family of 12. Home was large with stunning viewsKitchen was large and easy to manoeuvre. Beach properties was very responsive. A few minor issues that come with rentalsstained bedroom carpets and no basics things in kitchen (salt, pepper). You will need to bring everything food wise.

Fabulous house and location

This place is wonderful. We were a family of 20. Four generations with an age range of 2 years to 88 years. There was plenty of space for the kiddos to play and the adults to rest and relax. The beach was a short walk away! The kitchen was huge! The bathrooms were wonderful! The beds were comfy. We had no complaints about anything. One shower head was broken and maintenance was there and had it repaired quickly! We will definitely return!

Family celebration

We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversity with all of our children and grandchildren so we needed a home to sleep 18 with at least four king size suites. The bunkroom was a huge hit with our six 5 to 11 year olds. The third floor king suites with the balcony was a hit with the adult parents. The access to the ocean was wonderful. After time at the beach, the kids and adults loved the pool and game room to relax. We cooked most of our meals so we appreciated the well stocked kitlchen. The views of the ocean from the house were fantastic. The second floor laundry handled the large towel load with all the kids and the third floor laundry was very covenient for the adults on the third floor. Parking was good for the five cars we had.

This is a great property. It did have a few minor issues. Some complained that it needed to be cleaned better, bulbs needed changing, electrical outlets in kitchen not working, etc. We probably will rent again.

Disappointed

My wife and I enjoy going to high end hotels, and places to rent for a week or two. I was hoping for a really nice quiet experience for my birthday week but was disappointed. 1. Washer didn't work so the management company had to pick up our laundry and wash it and deliver. I am thankful for this. 2. The electrical range above the cabinets fell on to counter 3. The MB jacuzzi wasn't working even thought the listing noted it which my wife was excited about and then disappointed. 4. Even though the pool was technically closed they don't have a cover on it and it was super dirty. Not fun to look at a dirty nasty looking pool. 5. Construction;. Call it bad luck but they are building a house across the street and the neighbors so all we heard was hammering, machines, construction guys talking, listening to music form 7:30 am until 4 pm. Very disappointed. 6. Random lights either didn't work or mismatched, lights were blinking etc. Just lack of attention to detail on light bulbs. 7. Bunkbed lights hanging down and need to be fixed. Safety concern for kids. 8. Coffee makers are old and the cheap ones. So old the glass bottom fell out and dumped an entire pot of hot coffee on my wife. 9. Most if not all the doors facing outside are very difficult to lock. My wife couldn't lock them. 10. Overall furnishings and fixtures are tired and older. Some newer ones. I know this house went through construction last year however it doesn't show with the decorating, the choice in materials, the fixtures, the furniture etc. It looks Marriott Coutryard ish. If you are trying to attract high end customers at this price point you have to provide that high end experience vs. taking the cheap route and getting "Homegoods" stuff because you don't want renters ruining your stuff. The place needs to be refreshed. If the house was 1/4 the price I would have given it 5 stars but because they are a premium price I expect premium luxury experience. It was not other than the view. The only things that makes this place is the view of the beach and the short walk to the beach. The house has good bones but maintained poorly. Again, if it was half the price but we spent premium $ and expect premium experience. The property manager credit me back 1/2 of one days rent for my inconvenience and problems. I wasn't impressed but accepted it. I didn't want to spend any more of my vacation fixing their problems and going back and forth.

Memorable Thanksgiving

What an amazing home. There was so much space for all of us (18) and the weather allowed us to take full advantage of the outdoor spaces as well. The grandsons loved the bunk room, this grandma loved the quiet of the ocean view balcony. It was the best Thanksgiving ever and we are all hoping to do it again! Ocean Joy is the perfect name for this truly beautiful home!

Gorgeous Home With Privacy!

Our large family had plenty of room to spread out, and adored our stay so much that we rented again for next Spring! There are a few things that need attention: the doors do not lock without a major struggle and the hot water gives out ridiculously fast. We called for a repair on the water, and they did show up quickly. However, the repair made no difference whatsoever in the hot water supply, and due to Covid concerns (repairmen on the premises ), we decided to just tough it out and take cold showers...not fun. And not expected for a high dollar rental. However, we were so enchanted with the layout, and, as we hope to make the location an annual visit, we are giving them time to correct these issues. Otherwise, delightful house...delightful stay.
