What an amazing home base for our weeklong vacation in Hilton Head!! Location is perfect - right on the beach, with beautiful views from the main room windows and balcony, and just steps to the beach through private access gate. The beach location has a lifeguard - which we were surprised not to see for long stretches of beach. We rented bikes from HH Outfitters which is located right in Palmetto Dunes - they dropped them off and picked them up right outside the building, which made it so easy. We enjoyed bike rides on the beach right from the property, and over to Shelter Cove as well - flat bike trails, felt safe with kids! So close to great dinner locations within walking or biking distance (within Palmetto Dunes & in Shelter Cove) and a quick drive to other restaurants. Loved being able to walk / bike to the General Store for breakfast sandwiches and cinnamon rolls in the morning, and ice cream in the evenings. Overall this location was just perfect! Spotless and clean inside, comfortable beds and sofas, spacious rooms and bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked and having the laundry room available was helpful as well. We appreciated having four available beach chairs so we didn't need to bring so many. Communication with the owner was great - got a full list of guidance and recommendations prior to our stay, and he was quick to answer questions as well. I highly recommend this rental property!! If we make it back to Hilton Head, we will be back!!
