Palmetto Dunes is a wonderful property! From activities to Dining everything in on place. The property description is spot on. Very clean and nice space. Quiet building with great access to fitness, pools, hot tub, and beach. Property Owner very thorough in communication. Recommend this property and its value.

My family told me this was 'the best vacation I had planned yet' and they can't wait to come back. Condo was great - the location, pools, and bridge over the dunes to the beach were perfect. Lots to see and do and good restaurants nearby. Condo was clean and comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked. The resort is very nice and has lots to do. Would recommend taking a day trip to Savannah and/or Tybee Island, as they are so close. We also did a kayaking tour and enjoyed it very much. Tips: HHI closes very early for a vacation destination (ice cream shops closed at 9 pm (in the summer?!), restaurants shut down early, so plan for early nights. Family pool at the condo does not have nearly enough umbrellas for the number of chairs, and zero natural shade, and it is VERY sunny and hot (this is not the owner's fault, just be aware).

Very clean! The condo is comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The air conditioning was nice and cold even during a heat wave. We love staying at Villamare inside of Palmetto Dunes. It is the perfect location on the island. Definitely recommend!

Overall, the stay was decent, but a few things stood out. The "partial ocean view" was less impressive than advertised—only about 10% visible from the far right, which felt a bit misleading based on the listing images. The unit itself was okay, functional but not exceptional. Mornings were noisy due to the hotel next door using a leaf blower for cleaning.I asked the owner about checking in before 4 PM, and she said no, citing extra cleaning time. However, the unit had noticeable dust, which was tough on my husband’s allergies, and even the dishes felt dusty, like it hadn’t been used in a while. Not a bad stay overall, but these issues could use some attention.

Perfect condo location

The condo was clean and had 2 beautiful patios where you could see the ocean. The location was perfect for exploring the entire island. Carolyn was easy to communicate with and responded very quickly. Her welcome packet of information was very helpful!! We loved every minute of our stay here and hope to return very soon.

Wonderful stay

Perfect location within Palmetto Dunes. It was a little chilly so we really enjoyed the hot tub and indoor pool options. Clean, comfortable space, perfect for our family. Great to be so close to the beach.

Great condo near the beach

The property was very well maintained- kitchen was well stocked with nice dishes, pots, pans and utensils. The pools were new and very nice. The TV didn’t work initially, but manager was very helpful and had someone over very quickly to get it working for us.

Some issues, but overall ok

This unit is located in Bldg 2, which is the furthest bldg from the ocean. The unit offers a view of the Hilton hotel parking lot and a VERY small view of the ocean. Communication with the property owner was good and check in went smoothly. We had trouble with the main living room TV and master BR TV. I had to call the cable company for assistance. We were able to get the main TV working, but we could never get the MBR TV to work. The second BR TV was fine. When we got to the beach one of the beach chairs was broken and I had to walk back to the unit for a replacement. To be fair I was advised that one of the chairs was broken, but I assumed they would have disposed of it since it was useless. We had trouble operating the microwave. We gave up and stopped trying to use it. The MBR shower is tight so we opted to use the guess room tub shower, which had better water pressure. Unfortunately the drain was clogged and we couldn’t get the tub to drain properly. The property owner was very communicative, which was helpful, but she lives two states away and really was not able to be of much assistance. Overall, we had a good week and chose to ignore these issues.

Condo was perfect location for our trip. First trip as empty nesters. Communication with owner was excellent. Well stocked kitchen and beach supplies. Highly recommend. Easy walk to beach. Very nice pool. Grounds very well kept. Condo very well maintained.
