This place was perfect for our family of seven. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and the fact that it was one story was really helpful when traveling with my elderly mother who finds stairs difficult. The backyard was beautiful with a great grassy area overlooking the lagoon. Everything was clean and kitchen was well equipped with an additional drink fridge in the laundry room. Just a Just a short ride to the beach and area, restaurants, etc. Owners were very responsive to all our questions. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely time! The house was spacious and laid out very well, plus each room had its own bathroom which was great. The pool was perfect size. The view out back was awesome with the occasional gator swimming by :)

Wonderful stay

The house was just as described. We usually stay closer to the beach, but found the location by the egret pond a joy to watch all the birds (and alligator) come and go. Carol was a dream to book with. Communication was great throughout. I thoroughly recommend.

Incredible Location

We (6 of us: 2 adults, 2 seniors, 2 young teens, and 2 small fogs) come to Sea Pines every year, but we've never found a house that was this comfortable - it's big, 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, tons of counter space, lots of places to sit, AND convenient to the beach, AND quiet, AND private, AND it has the most lovely backyard where you can see all sorts of wildlife: so many deer (and fawns!) and egrets, and anhingas, and even a small gator. So relaxing. Its perfect. And, Carol is terrific to work with. I can't say enough good things. We'll be back.

This is a wonderful house! It was perfect for my elderly parents because there are no steps whatsoever. It is very spacious and well equipped in the kitchen. Having the pool is a welcome bonus! The neighborhood is beautiful and the location is convenient to Harbor town or the beach. The host was very easy to communicate with and we would definitely rent here again.

First off, we love HHI but furthermore we love the area of Sea Pines. This year we opted for a two-week vacation and when we found Carol’s property we booked right away. The ability to stay two weeks in our favorite place with our dogs is always wonderful but the private Pool made it even better!!

Great stay at the Rookery

Stayed a week and had a great time. The bike trails are a dream. The area has lots wonderful birding and nearby nature preserves. Don't miss the Coastal Discovery Museum for one of the best butterfly gardens that I've seen. Everyone loved the house (exceptionally well-supplied with kitchenware). At dusk, we enjoyed going down the street to the golf course to watch bats and hear the Great Horned Owl and one evening we saw a group of deer down there (mid-August).

At home feeling

We had an absolute wonderful time! The property is so clean and cozy! The communication with the Owner was top notch from the beginning. A family member had an injury while we were on vacation and Carol went out of her way to help. I HIGHLY recommend this property! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful property

A wonderful location and great layout of rooms with privacy for all. Loved all the bathrooms. Pool was perfect for late afternoon kid activity after a day at the beach while parents alternated showering and meal prep. Bonus was the Rookery which we all enjoyed viewing every night. We would definitely rent again.

Beautiful View

We had a very nice time staying at this property😊 it was very clean, spacious, and a beautiful location. We had a little problem with the air conditioning when we arrived, but we just called Carol, and she took care of the problem as soon as she could…especially with it being over the weekend! It was repaired by Monday afternoon with a new part! Everyone had such a great time in the fenced in pool area☺️Our grandchildren had a blast❣️Thank you so much🏖️

Restful Rookery

The Rookery was a wonderful family vacation location. This was an exceptional property. Lots of bright rooms to spread out in and plenty of seating inside and out. If you come to Hilton Head in the summer, a pool is a must. The grandkids and adults enjoyed the pool just as much as the beach! The weather was hot, but picture perfect. The views facing the lagoon were fabulous and it was so peaceful and quiet (except for the calls from the egrets, hawks, wood storks etc 😄). I’m an avid birder and enjoyed seeing all the bird families. We enjoyed bicycling to the beach which was about 10 minutes away and along the many bike paths. We barely left Sea Pines….uncrowded beaches, fun pony rides for the grandkids, immaculate neighborhoods, golf clubs etc. We would love to return to the Rookery!

Great home for a family trip

The home was well-stocked and clean with plenty of room for everyone. The neighborhood was quiet with very little traffic. We rented bikes to make the one mile trip to the beach and to enjoy all the bike paths in Sea Pines. The pool was the perfect size and was enjoyed by our whole group. We enjoyed watching the birds flying around behind the house. Would stay here again should we return to HHI.

Christmas Vacation

We had 7 people stay in the house over Christmas. It was a great house to make holiday meals with the open floor plan. We had our dog with us, and it was a great area of Sea Pines to go on walks. Would definitely stay here again. The owners were excellent to work with and very responsive with all communications.

One of the best stocked kitchens I've ever had at a vbr

Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed everything was very clean bedrooms were really nice and we had a nice day loved watching the fish jump in the water behind us and the wildlife so dear and birds and even the alligator made in the appearance right before we left
