Loved this Daufuskie rental. The house was so lovely and charming. Just a quick golf cart ride (or bike ride or walk) to an awesome beach. There’s a private entrance to the beach just for this area. We loved spending time on the swing bed reading and enjoying the sounds of Nature. The house had everything we needed for our five nights stay we loved how cute it was. Pictures do not do it justice. While sometimes it is nice to be in the Melrose area of the island. This area has the better beach and because the island is so small, you are never far away from any of the restaurants or the marinas. We had dinner and drinks at the Daufuski crab Company. We spent a day at Melrose pool. We had breakfast at the Driftwood diner and our favorite was lunch at the distillery. We also had dinner on Wednesday at D’fuski’s. And another one of my favorites was coffee from the school grounds coffee. We definitely want to come back and stay at this rental again.

First trip to Daufuskie

Everything about the house was great for our 4-night stay. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of Daufuskie and plan to return to explore more of the island. Karla was a big help in lining up the ferry, cart rental and knowing how to get around to a couple of restaurants. Being so close to the beach was a huge plus. I highly recommend this house to others!

Perfect Getaway

My friend and I took a girl's trip to Daufuskie Island, and we had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage! The decor was ful of antiques and unique touches that gaye it so much character and a cozy, nostalgic feel. One of our favorite parts of the stay was waking up early to catch the beautiful sunrise. The beach was just a short golf card ride away, making it easy to enjoy the ocean whenever we wanted. The property manager was friendly, responsive, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway with vintage charm!

A little bit of heaven!

A wonderful peaceful retreat. Beautifully decorated …and very homey. The daybed next to the window was my spot to read and nap. Convenient to the beach. Unfortunately it was too chilly to venture down there to spend the day. Next time! Bicycles are provided too as well as beach equipment. The screened in back porch was ideal for napping and reading too. Loved it. Hopefully we’ll be able to return in the fall.

Island Paradise

Daufuski Island was everything we were looking for and more.The house was beautiful. We encountered several rainstorms during our visit but the back screened in porch was a great place to listen to the rain and passing storm. We loved not having to fight traffic and spent lazy afternoons exploring the island. There are few places to eat but they were all great. The host and contact were great and provided so much information. The house is a true treasure.

Peace and quiet

What a wonderful place to stay and relax! At 10am we were the only people on the beach! We were able to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The house was beautiful. We enjoyed the art and books. If you have never been to the island, make sure plan ahead and enjoy. We hope to come back soon!

Perfect for us

The house was beautiful! Stayed with wife, adult son and 10yr daughter. Wife and I slept upstairs, kids on Murphy bed and pull out sofa. Very well stocked. Everything available was free game, condiments, spices etc. Had plenty tp and paper towels. Location is best on the island! Private beach at the end of the street with us being the only ones on the beach 90% of the time. 12min golf cart ride from County Dock and about 20 from Freeport. Plenty of small eateries near the condo including Fryes Corner, Island Shack, D’Fuskie’s at county dock and Silver Dew Winery was just around the corner. Can’t wait to come back! Oh, and Karla the property manager was great! Always available. Thank you for opening your home to us.

Beautiful and charming

We had a wonderful stay at in the cottage on Daufuskie. The home was clean and very charming. We loved the location - very quiet and secluded, with such close proximity to the beach. A very unique property and great hosts!

Just relax

What a wonderful house to relax! The house was as described and was very clean and organized. We loved the tasteful art and decor in the house. Plenty of room to relax on the main with oversized couch and other comfy chairs. Our group attended a friend’s wedding and all that stayed with us really enjoyed the house and surrounding property. Daufuskie is such a great place and this property is a great base for exploring the island.

We came for the half marathon (and very cold weather!) The house is delightful, exactly as described and, with a rented golf cart, we went all over the island. Both the owners and Karla the property manager were extremely helpful. We were given detailed instructions and lots of great suggestions. Karla was very quick to respond to all my questions. Wonderful experience... hope to return soon.

20th Wedding Anniversary Getaway...

My wife and I wanted to spend a weekend away from everything for our 20th Wedding Anniversary, and this property did not disappoint. The house was great, as advertised, and in a great location. Karla, the property manager, was extremely helpful. Daufuskie Island was beautiful and full of great people and amazing history. 5-star trip!

Absolute gem

This property is incredible. It's so quiet, there is nature surrounding everything and it'slovely to hear the ocean at all times. The deer are so beautiful and are seen every dawn/dusk out front. There are no neighbors within 100 yards, this property exceeded our expectations! We would've booked all 6 nights had we known, my wife agrees as well! Quaint, clean, charming decor, the screened-in back porch is a 9.9879/10. Hah, it's such a lovely home. Thank you Jim and Paula, we hope to return soon. Much appreciated! Nicholas and Mercedes

just what we needed - peaceful, private and family time

The pictures show off this house perfectly. The downstairs was magical. A perfect space to relax, play games, watch movies, read books, cook and enjoy each other. We took advantage of the screened in porch even when it was hot - the fans really helped. We took our golf cart to the beach and walked (so private). We were there at sunset one night - and just before the other. We were only there for 2 nights, but it felt like more....just right. Love that you have a bathtub - loved my epsom salt baths each night. Thank you for all the eye candy :) Treasures even in the tree outside.
