Upon arrival the property manager was standing outside and told us the toilet upstairs had overflowed causing a leak from the ceiling below. Said they cleaned it best they could. When we entered the home we saw the ceiling leak immediately. Water was dripping from the ceiling onto the couch. We had to move the couch over so it didn’t get wet. My husband and I ended up staying in the room where the toilet had issues and caused the leak. When we walked into the room, the leak was so bad it leaked out into the hallway, soaking our feet and socks as we stepped through. I had to ask the property manager to bring something the put down on the carpet so I didn’t haven’t to constantly get wet from toilet water. We were not able to use our toilet until Thursday evening - 5 days into our trip. We only had a day and a half of use. Very inconvenient when needing to use the restroom in the middle of the night. Had to go downstairs to use restroom. There was mold in the skylight in the bathroom as well. The grill was not cleaned so we had to clean it ourselves and did not have full propane tanks upon arrival. Had to ask the property manager to get us full tanks. Dry, hardened cheese sticks were found on the chairs by the pool from previous guests. The light in the basement in the bunk room was not working. Property manager had to order a new light fixture and was not able to install for 2 days. Found mold in the cabinet above the microwave. Pool was dirty and not cleaned. Was starting to get cloudy, almost a green color. Notified property manager of no chlorine tablets left. Came on day 4 to finally clean the pool and add chlorine. The couch was dirty and I didn’t even want to sit on it. The dirt and grime from wear and tear was very visible. The property is in need of TLC - needs much updating. The house has a great layout, but needs better care/maintenance. On a good note, I was always able to speak to the property manager when I called. Easy to get ahold of, just wasn’t able to fix things timely. I liked how close we were to the beach. Neighbor was so nice! We really liked him.
