Our House Is Your Home Away From Home

  • Aloha!
    We are Keone and Yonnell Farias. We were both born and raised here on this wonderful island. We welcome you to our beautiful new home and would be happy to share with you our favorite places. Located in a quiet neighborhood of Waiakea Uka, we are a short 10-minute ride from the airport, 35 minutes to the Volcano, and just a few minutes from local grocery stores and eateries!
    Waiākea Uka is translated as "the mountainside" of Waiākea. There are beautiful views of both Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa mountain. The University of Hawaii at Hilo is located in the Waiākea district as well. There are parks and convenience stores within walking distance to the house but a car would be more suitable.
    Our house is your home away from home.
    We want you to feel at home during your stay. We also respect your privacy. The keypad entry allows you to come and go at your convenience. We live nearby and are only a call or text away for any questions, suggestions, and housekeeping needs you may have.

What a great location! We were so impressed with this house. It was clean, like new and had everything that you would need. Check in directions were clear and easy. The host are amazing! 10 out of 10 recommend this place.

It was such a beautiful home. Our family really enjoyed staying there. It was close enough to town and a home away from home. Our hostess was great with communication and the house was very clean and well stocked , definitely will return!

Sooooo nice

We traveled with our adult kids so we really enjoyed the space to spread out. This home is very nice. The beds were comfortable and even though we didn’t cook, the kitchen was very well equipped. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing stay

My family and I had an amazing stay at Uhi Wai. The unit is so clean, the kitchen is well stocked and the owner was very communicative and easy to reach throughout our stay.

Beautiful Quiet Location

This was a great stay for my father and I on a trip to see the Volcanos and Mauna Kea. We were there for two nights and enjoyed the stay thoroughly. Very clean, very comfortable, very quiet place to stay. With the windows open, you could hear the birds which was nice when compared to a hotel. I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay.

Fantastic home in a convenient location

We loved our stay - beautiful, newer home with all the amenities we needed. The location was super convenient to visit family in the area, and the hosts were fantastic (and very understanding when we forgot to leave the garage door opener - luckily we got it back). We hope to return on a future trip. Highly recommended.

Great Home

Great house! Perfect size for our family of 5 adults. Very clean! Beautiful view of Mauna Kea. Excellent location for Volcanoes NP, waterfalls and adventures on the east side of the island. Would definitely stay here again

Home away from home

Our stay at Uhi Wai was exceptional! The rental had everything to make our stay enjoyable. The check-in/out process was so simple. The location of this property was perfect as well, grocery stores, restaurants, the mall and gas stations were minutes away. Our family enjoyed staying at this beautiful well kept home.

Beautiful house

Restful stay in a beautiful home for our family of 4. Having a garage to park the car was an extra bonus. The house was conveniently located to go to Hawaii volcanoes national park and to shopping areas. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you!

Hilo Getaway

The property was exactly as advertised. The check-in was easy and check out was even better. The owner allowed us to keep our bags in the garage after check out so we could explore more of Hilo since our flight was later in the day. I would recommend this home without hesitation.

Anniversary stay with the fam!

Great modern home with comfortable sleeping spaces and open family space. Kitchen served us very well. Enjoyed preparing our own meals and eating at the house. Great quiet location. Easy access to all the local sites.

Perfect Hilo property

Beautiful, nicely updated, clean home near downtown Hilo. The property is located in a quiet neighborhood, which we greatly appreciated. The house is well equipped with everything you could need. This property served as a great hub for exploring Hilo and the surrounding coast.
