"The Skipton Hotel was well appointed for a short towpath walk to Skipton centre. It had a lovely view, staff were generally helpful, and breakfast was fine.
Our room though (a studio on floor 5) was baking hot and when we complained about this we got given an extra fan. It wasn't just that the weather was hot (it was) but the generators and other plant equipment sent heat through the floor into the room making it sauna like. We feel we should have asked to be moved but didn't want to complain...

"Staff and room were lovely and the breakfast was excellent. Comfortable bed.
There's some design flaws, for example you can't fill the kettle up at the sink without the water coming out as you try to extract it. Nothing major though.
It's not that pet friendly. It would have been nice to have a drink in the bar but that would have meant leaving the dog in the car so we went somewhere else for a drink."
