  • Welcome to Serenity at Lake Gaston — a peaceful lakefront retreat tucked in a quiet cove on Jimmies Creek. This 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath home offers just over 2,000 sq ft of comfort, perfect for families and friends.

    Enjoy easy access to the water from your private dock and a gentle slope to the lake. Spend the day paddling with our kayaks and paddleboards, or rent jet skis for a little extra excitement. Evenings are for gathering around the fire pit, roasting s’mores, and watching the stars.

    Inside, you’ll find a game-filled garage with ping pong, air hockey, and foosball, plus high-speed Wi-Fi and streaming TVs. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the deck is the perfect spot to dine outdoors while taking in stunning sunset views.

The home is very comfortable and the host well very pleasant. The little touches and decorating for the holiday was very nice and thoughtful for our vacation away from home for the holidays.
Watched this Great Blue Heron every morning " nick name Terry the pterodactyl" we loved identifying all the birds we seen.
This is exactly what was needed for this break and you captured it all in your home and space.
Coffee in the morning watching the sunrise and set has been the highlight of my trip.

My family had a wonderful stay here. The house was exactly as pictured on vrbo. The host was quick in respond to my question! They had everything you could need provided! We will be staying here again!

Wonderful Lake House

This is a fantastic property. Plenty of space, very clean, well equipped, in an excellent location, comfortable beds, great table to gather around for meals and family game time, quiet location, easy communication with the hosts, a fun s'mores toasting pit (complete with lovely welcome gift), safe cove to swim in. Our best-ever Lake Gaston rental. We had no issues at all during our stay and would love to return.

Serenity - Lake Gaston, North Carolina

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lake Gaston. The house, property, and lake were beautiful! The house was spotless, the beds were super comfortable, and the hosts stocked the house with lots of amenities. I highly recommend this beautiful spot for your next stay. You will not be disappointed!

Nice place for two small families

Large bedrooms with king beds, nice walk in shower in the main en suite bath.Plenty of room for two families of 4. The kitchen is well appointed and perhaps a little small, but pretty workable for a short term rental. We did not swim, but the dock offers afternoon shade and a nice place to enjoy the lake view.

Great Family Vacation

We had a wonderful few days at Serenity. The home was very clean and comfortable. Check in was easy. We had fun with the games in the garage, took out the kayaks and enjoyed s'mores at the fire pit. Kitchen was very well stocked, which was a real bonus. Thanks for a great weekend and we hope to come back!

Great Vacation Home

This home is laid out really well for a couple of families to share. On each side of the home are two bedrooms and a bath, so it can be private. Living area in the middle. Host was great with good communication.

Perfect Lake house!

This house and location on the lake is even better than described! The kitchen was well stocked and they even had all the essential pantry items (oils/spices, etc.) …and we were pleasantly surprised to find firewood waiting for us so we could make s’mores by the fire pit. The paddle board was a favorite for our family…such a relaxing little cove to enjoy the peaceful lake. The owner, Mark, was wonderful about communicating…thank you for a fabulous few days at beautiful Lake Gaston! We hope to return again soon!

Relaxing time at the lake.

We had a wonderful long weekend at lake Gaston and found the house very comfortable. We found the bed in the main master to be very soft so slept in the 2nd room with a king bed that was firm. Every thing was very comfy and enjoyable. The lake has easy access down a gentle gravel path to the dock and steps to ease into the lake ahhhhh. Very comfy home and quite comfy. We are not big cooks so found the supplies to be just fine. We would joyfully return!! Just lovely.

Perfect Serenity!!!

We had an amazing time staying at Serenity! The name says it all!!!Thank you so much for opening your lovely home to our family. Anything you could think of the house had & any question we had you all were super responsive, it made us feel like you really do care about your guests & want us to enjoy your space as much as possible while we are here. The house was so clean, smelled amazing, the beds were super comfy, the views were outstanding & we can’t wait to come back next Spring!!!

Lake Gaston in September

Very nice nice property everything was clean and fresh and it being pet friendly is what drew us to the property and it didn’t disappoint, nice dock with room for one boat which is all we needed. You won’t be able to see sunrises and sunsets unless you can make it out on the lake. We enjoyed quite mornings and evenings sitting on the porch and dock. We were able to see Herons and Bald Eagles. We didn’t have one complaint about this property

Perfect Place to Relax!

This is the second time I've rented this beautiful house for a get away with girlfriends. "Serenity" is true to her name! Location is quiet and scenic and the house is open design which allows for fellowship. There are enough bedrooms for guests to get away for some private time. Sitting on the deck watching the activity on the lake is relaxing. The boat dock is perfect for coffee, drinks, or just to gaze at the beautiful lake. The house is pet friendly and equipped with everything you need. Just bring your food and drinks. The hosts are amazing and easily accessible by phone or text and are always available for questions. Hoping to book again next year. 😎

Met or exceeded all expectations

Thank you for a wonderful week of vacation for our family! We had my wife's family join us for a portion of the week and all 8 of us had a great time. I will definitely start future reservations at Lake Gaston by looking to see if the Serenity property is available. It's as good (or better) than advertised. Some of our favorite attributes of the property: - Owner was easy to work with and very responsive to questions - Loved the layout of the home being on one level and the gentle slope of the short walk to the dock - Cove was very calm, which made swimming, kayaking, etc very safe - Dock was set up well to accommodate our boat and jet ski - Comfortable furniture throughout the home - My 7-year old and I loved getting out on the provided kayaks - Having the garage game room (foosball, ping-pong, etc) gave the kids fun activities even on rainy afternoons - Very dog friendly with reasonable expectations for dog owners - Internet access was very reliable (Brother-in-law was able to participate in a 3-hr Zoom class without any issues)

Wonderful Relaxing Stay

We had a wonderful stay. The house was lovely with plenty of room to both spread out and all be together when desired. It was my husband and I, and our two adult children with a friend each. All of us had a blast fishing, relaxing in the water, and having a ping-pong tournament. The cove was quiet and we all really enjoyed ourselves. I think this will become an annual trip for us.

Serenity

Mark was a fabulous host, very accommodating and he met all of our needs. Despite the noise from the landscaping company cutting trees we were able to have a peaceful, restful week. The property has ease of access to stores, wineries, and restuarants. Every person we encountered was also very friendly. I would recommend a visit to this beautiful lake.
