We spent our 19th anniversary here.

The residence is situated on a secluded road, with a picturesque river creek at the rear. Upon arrival, the property was found to be generally clean. However, my stay was marred by the development of folliculitis, a hot tub rash, two days after departure, necessitating antibiotic treatment due to bacterial contamination in the hot tub water.

Quick Getaway

The house was in a very quiet and relaxing location. The creek in the backyard was soothing. I booked the house with intention of using the fire pit, but we didn’t get around to it. We did use the hot tub, which was relaxing after a day of hiking. Check-in and out was very easy, and the house was as described. Definitely recommend!

2nd Stay

Our stay at the cabin was awesome! The cabin was great during our first stay in July. Though there were some needed improvements, which were addressed. This is a perfect place for a peaceful getaway. A return trip to this cabin is a certain. Thanks for the experience.

Disgustingly dirty

We checked in at midnight and were greeted with linens with hair on them, baseboards caked in hair and dirt, dirt and dust everywhere and under ever surface and hair balls rolling around the home. We contacted Vascasa multiple times and they keep telling me the local representative is the only one who can help. The local representative seems to either not be real or not care because they haven’t been impossible for corporate or for me to reach. We were unwilling to stay there and ended up canceling our vacation due to the disgusting filth. So far i have not been offered or refunded my stay and am only being given the run around. Do not rent this property.

Peacful

Perfect place for a quiet stay. The internet did not work but i was able to connect my hotspot to the tv in the evenings for the kids. The sofa bed is tricky to open. Otherwise the place was very clean. I'm looking forward to booking again maybe for Thanksgiving.

It was very nice, secluded and private. Hot tub was not cleaned, had sand in it. Wifi was spotty, couldn't keep phone or tv connected to internet. Sofa needs to be replaced. Beautiful view of creek from porch. Nice grill. Nice firepit & chairs for fall/winter. Minutes from downtown Helen. For a quick weekend getaway it was okay.

Wonderful experience

This place was somewhat magical, it's a little hard to find the dark though so I would suggest when driving there, drive during the daylight! There's a sign on a tree that you wouldn't see at night. It has a perfect little creek behind it and a fire pit where it gives off the impression that you are 100% in a different world especially if you have to deal with the daily grind. My favorite part about this day was the sunset on the creek behind the place. It was absolutely wonderful, beautiful and very snug. Absolutely exceptional time, if you like hiking this is also a great place if there's several places to hike around you within 10 minutes

Had to vacate property early...

Cabin smelled of cat urine when I arrived. Hot tub doesn't work. On day 4 of my trip, shower water wouldn't drain, sinks wouldn't drain and toilet non-functional. I reported problems at 10 am... maintenance man arrived around 5:30 pm. He is very knowledgeable and but stretched way too thin.

Silver Anniversary Getaway

Cute home on a flowing creek. Secluded and woods but easy access to property. Saw deers on property which was nice. Helen, Ga. is 5 minutes away with plenty of restaurants and shopping. Great time for our 25th anniversary.

Family stay

We stayed 3 nights. This property was the perfect size and location for our family of 4. The kids loved the yard with the creek, the hot tub and the loft area. Great location to explore the area and the town of Helen. Wonderful house with very private secluded lot to relax in. Very nicely updated. The only down side I could mention was the hot tub was a little low on water and could have a little extra cleaning. This did not distract from our experience. Would love to go back again.

Perfect spot!

Great location. Just minutes from everything yet tucked away for privacy. Kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed for the meals we cooked and the grill came in handy. Hot tub was hot and the bed was comfy. Perfect for some quiet time together. We will definitely be back!

Late Fall Getaway

We absolutely loved Helen and this cozy updated rental. It was very clean and fully stocked. The property was secluded and beautiful-loved the stream in the backyard and the backporch. Close to Helen and waterfalls! Perfect retreat for us and our dog!

Great property!!!!

Clean, comfortable, well laid out space. We have stayed at many other cabins in the Helen area, and this blows them away. No dark (sticky, icky) wood. The cleanest space imaginable. No pick up trucks bumping down the road because it’s not on a thru road. Just needs a few more “comfortable “ chairs available for the fire pit/creek area. Very well thought out remodel. Wish it was mine!!!

Lovely Cottage

The property was excellent - very secluded and fully remodeled as described in the listing. The sounds if the Creek were so relaxing! The only thing I would recommend is to change the mattress, super tall and not very comfty. Also, a night table and coffee table in the living room would be nice. Overall, great place to get away but still close to downtown Helen and many nearby hiking trails in Dukes Creek Falls and Smithgall Woods.
