Location, Location, Location!

Great little place with a fantastic location. Nothing fancy but its clean, comfy and cozy. This little place has everything you need for an amazing vacation in Hanalei.

Prime location

If you want to stay ON the beach, this is it! It is not the most luxurious place in Kauai, but it is very comfortable, has everything you need, and if your goal is to be outside and at the beach, this is as good as it gets.

As wonderful as always

This was probably at least our 5th stay at the Kobyashi’s “compound.” All the properties are in very good shape and well appointed. The views and sound of the surf are awe inspiring. Mahalo nui loa.

Great location

Enjoyed our stay in Hanalei. Beautiful lawn area and of course the beach was lovely. The property was very clean and efficient. We rented some bikes and took nice rides around the area and to town!

Such an amazing property and location

We had a wonderful time at this house. It's perfect for a family with 2 small kids - they were able to run to the beach in the morning in their pajamas! The house itself is very clean and comfortable.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Keone several times over the years and always love our time there. Great location!

Come for the location (steps from Hanalei Bay) and the experience of living on what is one of best, most beautiful beaches anywhere. The home was clean and well appointed but definitely not fancy. But fancy is beside the point when you are surrounded by so much natural beauty. Great experience overall.

Magical Getaway!

What a location!!! We loved it so much will hopefully make it a family tradition. House is super comfortable and clean. Might be time to update some of the kitchenware but had everything we needed. Outdoor shower was a hit with the whole family.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What I wish I had known in advance... Those who love camping, often cherish the ability to be in idyllic locales that don't cater to full-service hotels. Such is the case with Keone on Hanalei Bay. While camping is wonderful when all goes well, if you are stuck in your tent with noisy campers right next door, it's going to be tough to rest, tough to get some peace, tough to get dry. In other words, prepared to be blessed if you hit some good weather without a very noisy family pounding above you. If you happen upon the bad luck of constant pounding from the unit above AND poor weather conditions, your "camping trip" on Hanalei Bay is going to be a tough one.

Paradise on the North Shore

The location of the property is unsurpassable - steps to the beach, plenty of space to play, close to town and farmer's markets and other beaches. The house was well furnished and even without AC the breeze through the windows kept us cool at night. The lanai was the perfect place for meals and relaxing with a book. The yard was wonderful for playing soccer or stargazing at night.

Great location on Hanalei Bay!

We had a great, relaxing vacation in Kauai. The home has all the essentials we needed for cooking meals. The owner was extremely quick to respond to a burnt out light bulb request and we had a new bulb within a few hours. Everything was very clean when we arrived and the location has beautiful grounds with easy access to the beach / Hanalei Bay.

Reviewer Comments: We had a great time right on the beach near the water in Hanalei, my favorite part was that there were a bunch of toys available that we could play with the water or on the big green lawn out front. we rented bikes and were able to bike to restaurants and all over the bay! We had such a lovely time I would absolutely stay here again, and suggest it to anyone! We will be back!

Tropical house with ocean view

The house and neighboring houses are very pretty, feel very Hawaiian. Unobstructed ocean/beach view across front lawn. Looking back to house from lawn opens up to gorgeous view of green jungly mountains. Living room and tropical furniture felt cozy when it rained. North coast is nice with small towns, small roads, less developed beaches. We stayed with our 2 adult kids which was a bit of a squeeze. They shared a room, and we all shared the bath. But the overall experience made the tightness well worth it. Would stay again.

Paradise

This property may not be for everyone, but we loved it! It was quiet, close to downtown Hanalei and the beach out front is perfect for boogie boarding. You can also walk the entire length of Hanalei Bay. The property had all the necessary things for a great stay, beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrella and beach towels. With not much ambient light, the stars at night were amazing! The only reason I gave it a 4 overall rating is that it is a little dated, but for those who just want to kick back and relax, this is the perfect place!

Great Location, Could you some updating of interior

The property is older and could use a refurbishing. Tiles in the bathroom could be replaced. You need to know that there is no air conditioning which is quite common on Hanalei, but I would prefer to have some. There are plenty of fans though, and windows the open easily. The location is great with an easy walk across the yard to the beach. It is a large lot with 3 other houses on it, so if they are filled with a lot of people your privacy is not ideal. Overall, if location is most important this will work, but it is not luxurious.

A piece of heaven

I absolutely loved this place. Beautiful location. We would definitely stay there again. Two things I would highlight. As clearly stated on the listing, there is no air conditioning. I’m usually hot, my wife is usually cold. There were times we were both still a little hot with the windows open and the fans on, but not so much that we wouldn’t stay. Second, the washer/dryer isn’t in the unit, it is in a communal space with the outside shower. Knowing this, the way it’s listed makes sense, but that’s not how I read it/what I expected. We never had to wait to use them and it wouldn’t keep us from staying here, but I thought I’d include it so it was clear. Again, we loved it!!

Excellent location

This downstairs unit is old but functioning and the location is excellent. You are ON the Hanalei bay beach and can see the waves breaking from inside the unit and from the lovely covered patio. Roll out of bed and take a nice walk on the beach or paddle out to surf on many of the different breaks around the bay. A lovely 15 min walk to "town" takes you to coffee and bakery in the morning and dinner at night. We were lucky to not have any tenants above us the entire week other than the first night. As expected, it is loud when they walk around above you. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed. Check-in instructions were sent out a full week early from an unexpected sender, so I missed that email, making arrival a little stressful, including a call to vrbo. There is an outdoor shower and laundry a few steps away. Overall, a great place to stay.
