"Our room was Yew and Eye, one of the newly built cabins in the garden of this historic inn with a twist. The design is like nothing we’ve ever seen before with surprises every way you look. The room itself has human eyeballs as a decorative theme which was fascinating and amusing. The standard double bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of useful storage and good ventilation. "Lovely old pub, nice friendly staff. We booked the large double which was extremely comfortable, great pillows. The only let down was the cold, it was freezing. Heating wasn't working. This wouldn't put me off staying again, as it's a really nice place"

"This was a fun place to stay while visiting the battle field. The village was very interesting with many small shops. The room appeared to be recently renovated and staying above a pub was a fun experience. The pub itself was also excellent. Our only complaint was lack of air conditioning...which resulted in us opening a window...and listening to traffic (the road out front is very busy) All-in-all, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area"

"We stayed at The Doghouse Inn for two nights with my partner and our dog, and we had a great experience. Check-in was simple and quick. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. It had everything we needed, and we felt really welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our dog was treated like a guest too, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a lovely stay and we would definitely come back."
