Voor de derde keer in The Leicester Arms verbleven vanwege de rustige ligging en goede plek om de reis verder te vervolgen Engeland in of juist met de Shuttle terug. We hebben tot nu toe elke keer een andere kamer gekregen. We hadden nu kamer 'Thyme' gelegen aan de voorkant van het hotel boven de ingang. Het was daardoor best gehorig (zaterdagavond), maar verder een fijne kamer en grote badkamer. De volgende keer zou ik weer vragen om een kamer aan de achterkant. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam (bedankt Luke!). Als je 's morgens niet graag begint met een full English breakfast is de ontbijtkeuze niet zo groot, dus dat vond ik dit keer wat minder. We komen zeker weer terug!

This is great, traditional English pub/hotel. It’s clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the staff were excellent at all times. Would thoroughly recommend.

The cutest pub I’ve stayed at in years. Super friendly staff, beautiful room and bathroom, super comfy bed and excellent food. I highly recommend staying here. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. Our en-suite bedroom was spacious and beautifully decorated.

The manager was lovely and showed us around the room and let us know any key things we needed to know. The room was absolutely lovely, proper cosy country vibes and loved the special touch of a large bottle of sparkling and still water and cookies in our room. Would highly recommend as place to stay!

Lovely cosy hotel with loads of history and great location. Room was clean, if a bit cramped and bed comfortable. A mirror other than the one in the bathroom would have been Lovely friendly staff. We would definitely stay again.

Lovely decor, clean and warm. Quality toiletries, coffee and tea. Pretty village. Thank you. Limited parking especially when hosting other events I misunderstood that the pricing included breakfast - my mistake.

All the staff are fantastic and the village is beautiful. Food was very nice, and the Pinot Noir was excellent too.

Our second stay though to be honest we felt it lacked atmosphere this time round (possibly down to it being v quiet midweek) Staff were friendly & v helpful though the hotel could benefit from a manned reception area or at least clearer instructions on arrival. Again no one visible on departure ?

Gorgeous rooms and delicious food

A great stay right from the start the manager and staff were helpful and friendly. I was particularly touched when the chef made an off menu option for my autistic son as he was unable to manage any of the listed items. The rooms were beautifully set out and the bed was so comfortable. I usually struggle to sleep away from home but not here. I also loved the toiletries were Bramley (my fave) it added a touch of luxury to an already luxurious stay. The food in the restaurant was top notch and I can’t speak highly enough of the staff and manager who all went out of their way to ensure a warm welcome and comfortable stay.

A very pleasant inn with a good restaurant. Helpful pleasant staff. Beware: some rooms have windows opening to a space where a very powerful and noisy extractor fan is located. It is switched off at night. JB

My Best Hotel experience

Tom, Rhianna, well the entire staff made me feel like I was a part of the family. The room was extremely comfortable, the food was great(definitely some of the best food I’ve had whilst in England) and never took long. If I could pack up the entire hotel and staff and take it wherever I travel I would. That’s how good my stay was. If I’m ever in that area of England I will be staying there!
