We have stayed at Gulf Shores Plantation numerous times and love the amenities and location. This unit itself, was a disappointment. The positives: the bathtubs appeared new as well as kitchen appliances and the walls appeared to have fairly new paint. The negatives:The trim and doors were dirty, you could see water damage in the hallway bathroom ceiling and wall above sink, the king size bed did NOT have a bed bug encasement, the other queen mattress was very firm and uncomfortable. The sheets for both beds were paper thin. Even though the listing describes “luxurious beds and each room designed with comfort in mind” the beds were uncomfortable, furniture was outdated and the closets were dirty. The couch and chairs had stains on them so we covered them up with the sheets that were supposed to used for the sleeper sofa. The ceiling fan was also broken in the main living area, which the owner was aware of but hadn’t repaired yet.We love staying at Gulf Shores Planation but would never rent this unit again. The kitchen cabinets were extremely dated with lots of scratches and chipped paint. The description list “well equipped” kitchen which feel short in the area of pots and pans, utensil and silverware.
