"Our stay at the James House was very relaxing. We had 3 generations and comfortably housed 7 of us. The layout was great, the kitchen was well stocked and the fishing on Chemo Lake was unmatched. "We had a terrific week on Beech Hill Pond! This is our 2nd year working with Josh and he makes the whole process (from booking to check-out) so smooth and easy. The property location is perfect that is gave us privacy but direct access to the lake and easy trips to Ellsworth for dinners and Bar Harbor for the day. "This lodge was absolutely stunning! It had so many amenities and was close to the river. It was a super relaxing and beautiful location & lodge. The pictures of the lodge and land does not do the property justice! 10/10 I would recommend anyone to stay here. "Three days felt like a step back in time in this classic camp. Nothing to do but be still in a beautiful place. The far side of the lake boasts beautiful rocks and views of Spruce Mountain. The water was warm, the air clear. Multiple boats for our use were great. We spent hours on and in the water. Christian was a generous and friendly host. Thanks for sharing this place with us."

"We had a great time in this off grid cabin. It was a beautiful location in a really lovely wood cottage. Our favorite part was just relaxing on the screened in porch listening to the loons in the evening. It got a little hot during our stay, so the limited electricity for a fan was a bummer but not a dealbreaker by any means. Would definitely recommend. "
