"What a tasteful yet homely pub stay!
There was poor comunication between expedia and kings Head regards the number of people in our party for the room!
But staff did all in their power to compensate and make us comfortable!!
Will certainly go back and will give an excellent score.
Loved the food and everything about it!!
Only downside is - food stops at 8pm.
But they do ptovide a cold platter after this time that's delicious!

"We got to this property by chance. What a fun surprise. It is an old but very well kept inn. It has many beautiful hikes around. It is in the middle of nowhere. And that makes it even more fantastic. "

"We could not fault our one night stay, the welcome on arival, the comfort of the room, the evening meal and breakfast, the friendliness of the staff were all first class. Our dog was really spoilt with attention and a bag of treats including a ball. A wonderful place to break a journey between north and south.

"I had a wonderful overnight stay here. The room was lovely, ver quiet with beautiful views and a very comfortable bed. I did use the spa which was at extra cost but it was lovely and relaxing. I opted for the fine dining in the evening and it was outstanding. Breakfast was included and the menu had plenty of options from continental to freshly prepared hot options.The staff were very helpful and friendly- I will certainly rebut for a longer visit. "

"Excellent budget stay. I was the only person in an 8-bed dorm, and was one of only two people using the communal facilities on the night of my visit. Excellent hostel facilities and good systems in place."

"Great stay for two night break on the coast to Coast trail. Staff was friendly and helpful. Friday nights are very loud with karaoke so be prepared! Food was good, but basic pub food. Breakfast had several choices and the avocado and poached egg was especially good. There's an awesome Indian restaurant called the mango tree just a few buildings down. "Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business.
Food options were limited when we arrived, particularly for our two fussy children, so we did eat elsewhere that night, but the cooked breakfast in the morning was very good,...
