"Great place to stay, excellent clubhouse with great staff and food. The only downside was that the suite we had was very small, with no seating and no wear to put your suitcases, and only one TV in the main bedroom, which wasn't that great when sharing with others in our party."

I didnt know what time the event I was attending nearby would end; and as soon as I came back they brought me a wonderful platter of fish and much more. Saying theyd rather I had it prepared freshly than keep it waiting. Beside a river, in glorious, quiet countryside with the dramatic fells above; I can't wait to stay longer and explore the area. "Comfortable, well equipped 2 bedroom lodge with the living room, kitchen, bathroom, garden, parking space. Very kind owners always ready to talk. Property surrounded by a beautiful nature - green hills, farm animals. Not far are nice trails for hiking. Kendal is only 6 miles away. I recommend this place and I want to come back in the future."

"Traditional hotel in the centre of town. Large bedroom and en-suite bathroom, but both rather run-down and tired. Example: plenty of space in the bedroom but no chair to sit on. Potential for a “window seat“, but no cushion there. Staff were great, though."
