Restful holiday

We had a lovely restful week. A short drive into Grange over Sands, Morecambe and Lake Windermere. It was just a pity that the weather wasn’t kinder to us.

Wonderful cottage in a perfect location

Conveniently located between Grange-over- Sands and Cartmel, this cozy cottage was perfect for our week in the Lakes. The enclosed garden made it easy for us to bring our dog along and we appreciated the communication and fantastic cleaning from our hosts. Access to a pool/gym/spa made this a perfect package.

Lovely property.

Well kept and clean property with comfortable beds, great play park a few minutes walk away and good views from local church. Lots of places to eat out within a few miles. Great contact with owner - queries were responded to within a couple of hours. Would recommend.

Review of Fell View

Clean and tidy house in a quiet close, with a pretty small back garden - very well located to explore the Lakes, with Cartmel a mile or so up the road and Windermere within easy reach - The Pheasant Inn is a lovely pub, serving great food and only a 5-10 mins walk away - Alison and Brian provided plenty of information and the booking/key arrangements were very straight forward.

Fell Cottage is close to local amenities in Grange-over-sands, 5mins by car. Plenty of walks near by that can be reached on foot. Very well place for visiting the South and Western Lakes

Perfect!

Perfect in every way. Warm, clean, comfortable, great location. A super base for a memorable holiday. My 5 year old was enchanted by the toy box, my 17 year old by the complimentary biscuits and for me everyone being happy and comfortable!

Great location and super hosts

We had a lovely weekend staying in this property. It's located in the middle of Grange and Cartmel, with lots of lovely countryside on the doorstep. Brian and Alison were great hosts, with good communication, lots of information, and even checked in with us when we arrived to see if we were okay. The house is well equipped and really warm, even in the middle of winter. The beds were super comfortable as well.

Stayed twice at this property. Spotlessly clean, an excellent base to explore all that the Lake District has offer. Grange over Sands, Cartmel - 5 minute drive. Lake Windermere, Barrow in Furness - 20-30 minute drive max. Cosy, snug living room and a wonderful king size bed in main bedroom. Nice neighbour next door and the garden is safe if you have a dog. Alison and Brian are wonderful, friendly people and offer immediate help on any matter or concern. You will not be disappointed staying at this property. I didn't want to go home!!

a small cottage with a big heart. Plenty of space for 4 people in a quiet cul-de-sac

We stayed for 4 days over new year with my daughter and her husband we also had two cocker spaniels. The cottage was well equipped with an small Enclosed garden for the dogs. There were some lovely walks from the cottage and many more a short drive away. The Pheasant serves amazing food And is dog friendly. although it’s not really a pub. There was no area for just sitting and having a drink with the dogs unless you sat outside. Friendly helpful staff too. Just wish we had realised before we booked as this plays a big part in our walking holidays to relax after a long walk. Beds comfortable and cottage always warm. Oven takes a while to cook things, think it’s a bit old. Lounge chairs not the comfiest for lounging in. Brian and Alison are both very helpful and answer any questions quickly and efficiently. They are also very helpful if you need early check in or late check out. Perfect for our four days holiday.

Very well equipped cottage. A real home from home.

Fell View Cottage is well situated in the South Lakes with easy access to all areas. Many good local walks and the convenience of a local post office and convenience store on the doorstep. There is no shortage of good eating places within easy reach of the cottage. We would not hesitate in returning in the future.

A well laid out holiday rental very clean and tidy two toilets one up one down the sofa could do to be firmer as it sank quite a bit but other than that we enjoyed our stay at fell view cottage and felt refreshed the greyhound also liked it

A wonderful base for the Lake District!

We truly enjoyed our fortnight at Fell View cottage. Our hosts even cakked on day 1 just to make sure we had arrived safely and that everything was right withnthe cottage. We would not hesitate to recommend this superb rental cottage to friends and family!

A lovely well maintained cottage in a quiet village with good access to the Lake District

Fell View is a lovely cottage, maintained to a high standard and well equipped with everything needed for a short break away. The welcome pack of milk, teabags and biscuits was much appreciated. The cottage is located in a quiet village, a 5 minute walk from a lovely local pub called the Pheasants Inn which is family and dog friendly. There is also a post office / local convenience store just across the road. It is an ideal location for exploring the southern Lake District, with easy access to Grange-Over-Sands, Cartmel and Newby Bridge and there are some lovely walks right on the doorstep.

Enjoyed our stay. Didn't find evidence of dogs previously staying. Very clean and folders of info/walks very useful. The owners provided plenty of advice/places to visit in an email before our visit. Would stay again 😀

"Lovely Cottage"

The cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped. During our stay the weather was glorious and we were able to sit out in the private little garden which was pretty and very private. We enjoyed our meals at the Pheasant Inn, just a short walk away and we didn't disgrace ourselves on quiz night either! Cartmel is under 2 miles away and the "Kings Arms" also has super food, the karaoke night on Friday provided a fun end to our holiday. I would recommend this cottage. Shirley, Mike and family.

Lovely cottage

Lovely cottage so cosy with everything you could want. Exceptionally clean and in such a beautiful area. Plenty of walks very close by and beautiful surroundings. Out of the hustle and bustle of the busy areas in the Lakes. The only negative for us was the stair gate fixed to prevent dogs from going upstairs. We found this to be a bit of a safety issue as it could be a trip hazard and we did not feel it was necessary to prevent our dog from going upstairs. She just didn't. Overall though an excellent cottage
