Very convenient to town and with a stellar view. I’m thinking this is the best view of the three buildings and one of the best in town!Love the decor! Also shampoo, conditioner, soap, linens, trash bags, dishwasher soap, toilet paper, and paper towels are all provided. I think even laundry detergent, though I brought my own.We all loved our stay and if we return to the area we will look to book here again!

Charming European-Style Retreat with Stunning Lake Views

This VRBO home is very charming with its European-style decor. We loved the separation of the bottom two levels where the bedrooms are located, each featuring a bed and a desk, and spacious enough for a twin blow-up mattress. The top level (primary living area) had breathtaking views of Lake Superior and downtown Grand Marais. The home is exceptionally clean, and the instructions were very detailed. We have been going to Grand Marais for years and I cannot believe we have not found this gem sooner! We may have found our go-to place for our trips up North when we are without the camper.

We'll be back!

We had a beautiful, serene winter stay at the SkyHouse. Every detail was attended to and the beds were very comfortable (I have to find out what the mattress was!). Communication was clear and friendly, and the location cannot be beat. Thank you for a great stay!

Getaway in Grand Marais

I wanted to spend part of our family's Christmas vacation on the North Shore. Grand Marais is my favorite town, especially in the Fall/Winter when things slowed down. Beautiful views of Lake Superior and also across the street from the North House Folk School

Amazing Thanksgiving in Grand Marais!

We booked the SkyHouse for Thanksgiving, and we had an amazing time! The views from the property are spectacular. It is comfortable, and it has one of the best stocked kitchens I've seen at a rental. Also, be sure to book the sauna while you are there. It's a separate booking process, and it is worth it! We can't wait to go back!

Long art weekend getaway

My adult daughter and I enrolled in a painting class at the North House Folk Art School. This property was right up the hill! The ease of getting back and forth to the school was amazing ... but not as amazing as the property itself. The beautiful views were maximized in every room on every level. The living room/dining room/kitchen space was thoughtfully designed and the kitchen was very well-appointed. Everything was squeaky clean and there were thoughtful touches throughout -- large storage units with extra blankets, etc., fresh flowers on the table, a brand-new sponge in the kitchen, etc. The towels were fluffy, the beds warm and cozy and the hosts were very clear and communicative. We loved this space and will absolutely be back! Thanks so much!

Loved the place, it had beautiful views, lots of space, and fit our family needs perfectly. Loved that we could get out and walk to various places easily, used a LOT of recommended things to do that was received via e-mails and in the informational book.

We had an amazing time at the Skyhouse! The quiet and privacy were exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended

This was the place and space we needed. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets over Lake Superior viewed through glorious windows that framed each day and night in Grand Marais. Our family felt connected and rested - the space naturally brings everyone together. Including our puppy! Thanks for being wonderful hosts.

Beautiful home, beautiful view

I had an amazing weekend in Grand Marais in this beautiful, modern home with a fantastic view of the entire harbor and the lighthouse. Home was well stocked, and even had some puzzles and games. Hosts were always easy to communicate with and even allowed me a late checkout. Highly recommend!

Modern Scandinavian Family Retreat

We loved our stay at the Skyhouse. The property was well appointed with everything we needed for our stay, and the space was comfortable and artsy. The beds were comfortable and we loved the views of the harbor and town from the upper level living room. We especially appreciated the fireplace and sauna during our cold winter weekend stay. This property is now on the top of my list for our next visit to Grand Marais!
