    If you've experienced Minnesota's North Shore, you know the secret beauty that awaits. From hiking, skiing and the famous Gitchi-Gami Bike Trail, the only challenge is deciding what do first...that is, if you can peel yourself away from the private beach and your cup of coffee.

    A one of a kind property on the north shore for our guests to enjoy in complete privacy.

    The entire property is available for our guests to access and use.

    Available for questions over phone, email or text anytime of the day.

    In contrast to the rocky shoreline of most of Lake superior, this is the only property that has a sandy beach that is naturally black in color. Come experience it.

Our son and his family had a great time (as did we). They enjoyed the private beach and sauna. The ping pong table was a big hit with our granddaughter.

Beautiful location, great property!

We had a lovely weekend away here. Everything was so well organized, the property owner was very responsive, and the amenities were amazing. We hope to stay again soon!

Could have used another good frying pan for eggs, pancakes, browning meat for spaghetti....Really no serving bowls.All was fine, great place. NO compliants at all.

Great spot!

We loved this cabin! The location was great, being very close to split rock lighthouse and other great hiking spots. The property itself was fun to explore and the black sand beach was a unique treat. Our kids had as much fun at the cabin as they did on our excursions nearby. Highly recommend!

Our group really enjoyed coming here. The beds were all comfy and there was enough activities for everyone (sauna, hiking, puzzles). Will definitely try and make it up again

Our favorite place to stay on the North Shore

We've taken many trips and stayed at many places on the North Shore, but Black Beach is our favorite. We've stayed here multiple times. Beautiful location and perfectly spaced close to so many adventures.

Great Anniversary Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We had all the comforts of home and loved our evenings sitting in front of the fireplace with the sound of the waves coming in through the windows. It was a peaceful time away from the kids. We will definitely be visiting again.

Definition of the North Shore, absolutely Beautiful!

Absolutely loved our stay at the Cabin! Everything was perfect. Very cozy warm and inviting. The views were amazing and the private beach was so beautiful. Would highly recommend and hope to go back again someday :)

Great location and view

Absolutely LOVED the cabin! Perfect location for visiting all the state parks on the North shore, but plenty close enough to Duluth to visit the sites there. We especially enjoyed the fireplace, especially on cool nights. Great, responsive host.

So good we came back!

This was our second time staying here. We've stayed at quite a few cabins on the north shore and this propery is our favorite. The private beach is absolutely the best! Unbeatable.

A slice of heaven

This was our 2nd time staying here and we just love it! Adam was great with communication before and after our stay. The home is just lovely and it was so incredibly clean throughout. The beach was our favorite part. We were able to swim and play games on the beach. At night we toasted s’mores and hot dogs. We would spend the later evenings playing cards and games at the table. The beds are comfortable and there are so many items stocked to help make our stay enjoyable. We will be back next July!!

This place is a little slice of heaven! It is very clean and well taken care of. The kitchen had everything we needed including both a coffee pot and a Keurig (big coffee drinkers). The beds where very comfortable. We enjoyed the sounds of the waves each night and the beach was just breath-taking! Very comfortable couches where we watched movies each night. Great internet reception so we were completely cut off from the world. Towels, shampoo & conditioner, extra blankets, etc. I could go on for quite a while explaining how wonderful this place is.

Perfect Get-Away!

The property was just as described online!! Very clean and stocked! The evenings on the beach were perfect and it was so relaxing to open the windows and wake up to the waves crashing on the beach!!

Family Vacation

We had a great time at this cabin! It was very quiet even though it's right off of the main highway. My nephew had a great time at the beach digging in the sand and looking for agates.. The owner reached out to me by email and text before our stay to make sure I'd be able to get ahold of him if we needed anything.
