A delightful treat!

Good design goes a long way; and here, there’s good design at every turn and level both indoors and out. Truly a gem of unassuming hospitality and posh care. You came for the views and location, stay for the sauna, multitude of spaces to chill, entertain, and overall r&r. Well-played holiday!!

Grand Grand Marias Getaway

Beautiful property both practical and well-appointed throughout. Living room/kitchen offers amazing views of the town, bay and Lake Superior. We thoroughly enjoyed our first stay at this memorable property and will definitely be back again!

Cozy place, Warm-hearted Owners.

We were at the Horizon, Three Sisters' property for my husband's birthday celebration, along with our son and his best friend. The place was cozy, with pristine views of Lake Superior and the Light House. Right in the downtown Grand Marais, this is a perfect place to reside for people who love to walk for breakfast, dinner or an evening stroll to the lighthouse. We had a car emergency with a flat tire and the owners were nothing short of being super helpful and flexible to support our needs. We highly recommend this place to tourists looking to build warm memories in the cute town of Grand Marais.

Beautiful home, ideal location, very clean & comfortable, and well equipped. Excellent communication by host and seamless check-in. Located within short waking distance to restaurants & shops, Folk School, and Lake Superior shoreline. A wonderful place for a long weekend getaway!

Awesome stay

We have an awesome stay at The Horizon. This place was so cool, beautiful view of the harbor and within walking distance to downtown Grand Marais. The home has everything you need to have a stress free stay. Communication with the hosts was great and answered any questions we had promptly. We will definitely keep this one in mind for future stays.

Awesome house in a great location

Loved this Salmela house right in Grand Marais. The house is well appointed with everything needed to cook and eat in. The beds are comfortable, the living space cozy and the views of Lake Superior are wonderful. Lots of light and a great layout makes the place feel spacious in a small footprint. We hope to return to use the multiple decks during warmer! Wonderful communication with hosts. All in all, a truly lovely stay, in Grand Marais.

Perfect!

This property was ideal for our long work weekend. We each had our own private bed and bath and the upstairs served as a perfect meeting space for eating and working together. The sunrises over the lake were amazing, the kitchen was well equipped and the hosts were very responsive! Thank you for an amazing stay! We will be back.

We love staying in Grand Marais and this will be our new go-to spot for lodging! We appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail and the interesting architecture of the units. We enjoyed lovely sunrises over Lake Superior from our balcony.

This place was perfect for a small family gathering. Beautifully designed house with thoughtful touches and everything you need to feel at home while on vacation. Unbeatable view and location. Todd and Susan were great hosts, even bringing over some ingredients I needed on short notice to bake a chocolate cake! Can't wait to stay here again.

A Perfect Fit

Such a unique and comfortable place to stay in an amazing place and location. We had so much fun. The hosts give great recommendations on hikes etc. and we did almost all of them! The area is someplace we would like to retire so it was fun to be right in town and walk everywhere. Once the new roads/city design is complete it will be even more amazing! Highly recommend.
