This property is absolutely wonderful and we have loved our two week stay here. The house has a lot of charm and is well-located in a beautiful area. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped and the entire house layout is very well thought-out, with a guest wing on one side and the master bedroom on the other. The garden is beautiful and peaceful. In short, spectacular.

Villa with a timeless appeal and great character

La Garance is very comfortable and has an authentic Provence character. The house and grounds are well organized as to seem quite spacious. Convenient to several hill towns, it was easy to explore the Luberon. The terrace is a perfect place to enjoy a meal after discovering the local markets.

Vacation

Overall great location close to many great Villages and things to do, one drawback was the closeness in the house closest to the master bedroom when noise levels were loud a few evenings. It was just a few evenings. The house has everything you need and more, great pool and even on the hottest days it seemed very cool. I would stay here again we really enjoyed our almost 2 weeks at this home.

SCHÖNES HAUS

Das Haus ist sehr schön,geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Umgebung ist abwechslungsreich. Die Kommunikation mit der Perle vor Ort schwierig, teilweise unfreundlich, kein Englisch, keine Hausübergabe,Termine von ihr wurden nicht eingehalten.

PERFECT BASE FOR EXPLORING PROVENCE

My family and I spent 2 nights at this wonderful house and loved it! Having rented in excess of 40 houses/apartments over the years, we recognize a great place when we find it. We were very sorry to not have found La Garance earlier, as we spent 2 weeks in the area in May, and regret not having stayed in this property. It is a lovely home, perfectly decorated and stocked with everything one needs to make your stay perfect. As holiday rentals go, this one will stand out as one of the best, and we hope to return next year for a much longer stay. It is perfectly situated to allow exploration of Provence, and perfectly appointed for just enjoying the pool and the house itself.

Amazing week at La Garance

This is a very confortable house at the heart of the Provence. We were six persons and a very lazy bulldog and we enjoyed the swimming pool and the garden. The position of the house is perfect to visit Gordes, Bonnieux, Roussillon and other cozy small villages. at 10 minutes by car we found a fantastic market (in Coustellet) with all local food and fruits. We definetely want to come back next year!

Ferienhaus in der Provence

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus mitten in der Provence in einem kleinen Ort gelegen, geräumig und sehr hübsch eingerichtet. Die Terrasse, der große Garten mit altem Baumbestand und der sehr große Pool sind wunderbar geeignet, auch bei großer Familie, einen angenehen Urlaub verbringen zu können. Im nächsten Ort gibt es einen Supermarkt und viele kleine Läden. Ringsum mittelalterliche Dörfer und schöne Wanderwege in den Bergen. Wir haben einen sehr entspannten Urlaub verbracht und danken hiermit nochmals sehr unseren Vermietern.

Beautiful, very clean and comfortable villa with a great refreshing pool

We spent two weeks in this fantastic villa and there was plenty of room for us (2 children (6+11) and 2 adults). The house and especially the kitchen are very well equipped. We had a lot of fun in the big and very clean pool! The surrounding is nice and quiet. The next big supermarket and a good bakery is nearby in Coustellet. We highly recommend this fantastic house for everyone!

Een super fijn huis met mooie tuin en zwembad in een rustieke omgeving

De woning ligt in een prachtige dtreek in een rustig dorp, vlakbij het pittoreske Gordes. Het huis straalt een tijdloze franse plattelandssfeer uit, zonder storende verbouwingen maar met alle comfort. De tuin is schaduwrijk en groot en heeft prachtige olijfbomen en andere bomen. De keuken is groot en heeft alle voorzieningen die nodig zijn om een heerlijke maaltijd te bereiden. Een heel fijn huis om er even echt uit te zijn.

Beautiful region - Excellent stay

Long overdue review..I am so sorry... We (family of 5) spent 2 weeks in this beautiful and very comfortable house. Excellent location, close to many places/ villages to visit. Lovely home, 3 bedrooms included a big parental suite with a bathroom. Big kitchen with dining room and huge living room. Each room is very well decorated. Very nice pool and shaded terrace with a big table for at least 6 people. Kids enjoyed the pool and the garden. Simone who takes care of the house is wonderful. If you have any issue, just call her and she will do her best to solve it quickly, she is very nice!!! It was very easy to communicate with the owner. Everything was perfect, we hope to return soon.

Excellent Stay - Wonderful Home

We have been renting properties in the Provence region for over 20 years and our stay at La Garance was one of the very best. The house is well situated in the beautiful Luberon Valley; private, pastoral and yet close to nieghboring villages and interesting sites. The house itself is immaculately maintained, and has every possible amenity needed for an enjoyable stay. The owner and caretakers are the best I have encountered; with excellent communication and follow up. We had an absolutley wonderful stay, and we intend to visit again.

Perfect home for a Provence holiday

We had a wonderful time at La Garance this September and agree with the comments made by the prior authors. The house is in an central location for exploring the area, close to many of the famous hilltop villages and the town of Coustellet for provisions. It felt very much like a home as soon as we arrived and is well equipped with everything you might need, especially in the kitchen. Having UK Freeview TV channels in the spacious living room was a nice bonus. We made full use of the excellent sized pool every day. The garden is not overlooked and very peaceful with only the sound of the cicadas and the odd pigeon for company. We really didn’t want to leave and would highly recommend.

Lovely to Come Home To

Every day of our 9 days in Provence it was lovely to come home to La Garance. This home is truly a home - pretty, comfortably elegant and organized. Everything is in working order and there are good books to read and an excellent selection of music to listen to. It lived up to our expectations in every way. La Garance is close to amenities and the beautiful village of Gordes where we ate many a meal. When we cooked our dinner at home we bought our food at local markets and shops. We have recommended La Garance to friends and plan to return there ourselves.

La Garance

We (two couples) stayed at La Garance for two weeks in late April, 2012. We loved it. The house was charming and beautifully appointed - - comfortable furnishings, lots of books (many in English) and interesting works of art on the walls. The bedrooms are at opposite ends of the house affording maximum privacy. The kitchen had everything we needed. Relaxing (and eating!) on the patio was a joy. La Garance is in a perfect location for making day trips to numerous and varied sights. The area abounds in Roman ruins, medieval hill towns, secluded monasteries, vast agricultural valleys (with numerous wineries), wild hills and deep river gorges. Towns, large and small, in the area have wonderful markets and excellent restaurants. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Garance and would not hesitate to go back another time.

La Garance

This is our second stay at La Garance and we enjoyed it even more than our first time. Wonderfully situated, minutes from Gordes and near to many of the famous `perched` villages, La Garance is a warm, inviting and spacious home. It is private and tranquil and equipped with all you would want in a holiday home including a fabulous book collection, and the recent addition of English speaking TV channels an added bonus! The outside terrace is a magical place to eat, in the warmth of the continental evenings and our children spent many hours happily playing in the pool, or perfecting their boules technique! Needless to say we did not want to leave! We very much look forward to staying at La Garance again.

We had a fabulous time at La Garance. The house was very comfortable for 4, 2 adults and 2 children. It was hot so we enjoyed swimming in the pool. At night the house cooled down. We visited Gordes, Bonneiux, Goult, Les Baux and St Remy. We took many fond memories home with us.

My family and I enjoyed a...

My family and I enjoyed a week at La Garance May 29 - June 7th 2009. It was so fun refreshing for our daughters to run straight from the car into the pool. Before entering the house, I enjoyed cherries off the tree and picked some herbs from the planters on the stone terrace to supplement our dinner. This home is a lovely and relaxing refuge that affords privacy for parents and children alike as well as shared space both inside and out with all the simple/sophisticated charm one could hope for. My husband appreciated the small music library as much as I enjoyed chomping through some of the books. We enjoyed many day trips all over Provence and the south of France and could still make it home for a swim or some painting and crafts. Our gardienne Simone was incredibly kind and helpful. Though we're still a few years away from it, I would also enjoy visiting La Garance with another couple - or two! The livingroom is the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail while contemplating the original art work before wandering out to the spacious terrace via the french doors to sit around the wrought iron table enjoy a feast of local food cooked up in the large kitchen. Meals in local restaurants were incredible. The best service and the best duck was in Les Beaumettes which also had fish and vegetarian choices for my husband. Ahhh...hopefully we'll go for two weeks next year!
