Thank you Sara for your booking. I am sorry your comments were made without being privy to behind-the-scenes events. I no longer had access to bookings as my computer had crashed with a widespread windstorm on the Coast and I could not locate my data as my computer was with the Technician for more than 3 weeks. I, the hostess, was not present the weekend of your visit as I had to take an urgent flight interstate to atttend to a very unwell elderly parent. My mind was on the seriousness of her health. I had not informed my husband of your arrival as I no longer had access to that information on my computer. I was still scrambling to find whatever was able to be recuperated. Because of this I was not in a position to transfer any information to my 2019 diary. Hence, my uncertainty initially regarding your booking. I am sorry if you felt uncomfortable but I was simply sitting near your room writing a note to be put under your door on your return regarding your breakfast needs. The newly-renovated bathroom facilities were totally operational but were still being improved, hence the explanation. You may remember I offered a second fan (in the cupboard) for you but I noticed your disinterest. As doonas are not needed in summer, we do not provide them, hence, there was no doona but a bed cover placed over the sheets. I am sorry but I'm nott sure what facilities you are speaking about that are run down. Other reviews would not indicate this. Maybe you would like to email me with these details so we can look at this. We endeavour to maintain a high standard throughout our B&B so if there was some discrepancy, I am sorry but I was not aware of it. As you'd imagine, living in the bush we live differently to city-dwellers. It is a shame you didnt have time to enjoy the beauty of the bird-life, the bushland, the peace and quiet

Yes, B&B does mean breakfast included and I offer this for a 2-night stay but for a 1-night stay there is an extra cost for my husbands French Speciality Breakfast which is of a higher quality than a continental. I believe this was indicated on your booking form before you arrived. I am sorry you were disappointed with the cost of the meal, even though I did explain to you in detail what was on offer. Robert prepares his French dinners from scratch and with quality ingredients. His French sauces are not made with any starch products but with vegetables so this is a much longer process and also healthier. Sorry about the broken light shade...with difficulty, I am trying to find a match to the other one Yes the folded bed is there for a child to use when necessary. Yes, your booking was for a guest-share bathroom and I upgraded you to a private bathroom, B&B is community living and it's true that sometimes there is more unexpected' interaction' in such a situation....

Hello Daryl Yes, it was one of those spectacular experiences where personalities just had that amazing intertwining of true friendship qualities. We felt you were part of the family almost from day 1 of your 3 night stay with Tracey. Thank you for your very encouraging comments, Daryl. Yes, sorry Stephanie for the double booking & no wifi at replacement accommodation of which I wasn't aware. I'll know for the future. My son & I may have had a disagreement & yes, that was unfortunate but you were not here for long so it was hardly "all day". At our B&B meals are not automatically on offer. I do not remember refusing to feed you but French Meals are very time-consuming so they are ordered by arrangement only, with 24 hrs notice. It's true that our French Provincial Dinners, served on weekdays & weekends, are always the same price. You may remember that I did actually take your dinner order and had begun preparing it when you cancelled it because of your decision for any early departure. Each B&B has its own different services and I think this needs to be taken into consideration when looking at one's needs. Check-in is fr 3 pm, but Stephanie you arrived at 10 am, so yes, you had a 5 hr wait in beautiful surroundings for housekeeping to be done, including for your room to be ready but you decided to leave before evening so this was counted as 1 day's accommodation. Sorry for any misunderstanding but I spoke of re-booking your room that night so as to refund your money if booked. I left B&B to collect daughter from work only once (not constantly) & another guest arrived during that time who I had forewarned & who was OK about my fulfilling parental duties with my husband away. I don't believe there were any guests asked to 'run' our B&B in my absence. So, yes, Stephanie, your choice to cancel your booking did mean a loss of $99 (net rate for B&B operators) as I was not able to rebook your room as can sometimes be the case. Our check-in form with terms & conditions & which you signed clearly did state that 'there is no refund for time unused'. It's unfortunate that you didn't find at our B&B what you were looking for.

Yes, there is the occasional plastified guideline for guests to consider....it is simply for the sake of working towards harmonious living together and with other guests in our beautiful B&B....thanks for understanding.
