Family Getaway

The place has nice view and location. No easy beach access and as true to all previous reviews. Uncomfortable beds, run down, broken plumbing and fireplace, outlets nor working. It is unfortunate that theres no improvement when orher reviews have suggested.

Great view, tolerates pets

Good location, price, and great view but the place needs some love and an outside pet area. A couple days of handyman attention would go a long way. The garage door springs need work and are dangerous. The garage needs cleaning.Renters and neighbors would appreciate a small "pet relief area" especially on rainy days.

Great location but run down

Great location and perfect view of the ocean. But the property is getting rundown, and there are a lot of repairs that are needed in the house.

Had a nice stay at the house. The view is great! Plenty of space for a multiple adults. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, dishwasher available. The house is not brand new, so expect some wear and tear but nothing major. Note to owner: It may be time to check the fire extinguishers and replace the batteries in remotes and flashlights.

Expectation

The house was tidy when we arrived, but needs a “deep clean”, under beds, rugs etc. The gas fireplace was not working as well as how to operate the tv. We contacted VRBO and they promptly sent Nick out (who was wonderful, courteous and knowledgeable). He fixed the fireplace, and noted that the cleaning crew did not set the tv up from gaming mode to cable mode. I showed him the condition of the stove, which has had complaints from 2022 on your site. It works, but is dirty, rusted and needs replacing. He said he would forward our concerns. The view is amazing, but the living room windows have seal failure, so most of the day are clouded over. For the price, this home needs attention, because as is, we would not stay here again. Hope this helps.

Fun Family Trip

We had a great time. The house is more dated than the pictures and the beds/furniture could be updated for comfort as they are well worn. It was a great time with the kids and dogs. Beach was a close walk but there is a steep access hill that is mud and rocks so it is a bit slippery.

Winter stay

The view was gorgeous, but you could not see it through the windows when you were sunk into the coaches (uncomfortably stuck in the couches) because the condensation in between the window pains blocked the view. It would be great for when the weather was warm, or if they updated the windows.

Oregon Coast in September

The house was clean related to the bedrooms and the bathrooms. Located right on the coast. The decks are a great place to watch the waves. Sadly, there are only 3 plastic Adirondack chairs that are gungy and cracked. Bring your own chairs if you want to sit outside. The couches are old and cushions lost their spring years ago. The kitchen has a number of utensils. There are two coffee pots and neither worked. The oven is dirty and there are some pans that should be replaced or some serious scrubbing attention given to them. While the place is dog friendly, there is not a stitch of grass around for them to use. The beach access is steep and there is a rope for assistance. There is a parking lot three blocks away driving that has an easier access point. Overall the place was great for ocean views. If you can look past the dated and rundown interior/exterior then it works out great.

A little disappointed.

Had a wonderful time with my family. The exceptions being no access to a second key making it difficult to all of us being gone at the same time. Both coffee makers broken, dirty pillow case on one bed, and no access to a dustpan.

Great oceanfront location!

The view was outstanding! The living area was comfortable and the deck was nice. We love that it is dog friendly. The property needs attention, and not because of it being pet friendly. There was black mold in the showers, finger prints and smudges on the walls, the property needs a deep cleaning. The kitchen had lots of cookware, but it needs to be replaced because it is over used and scratched up, and some of it was put away dirty. Our teenager slept on the sofa bed downstairs. The mattress was old and lumpy and very uncomfortable. We grabbed a white comforter from the downstairs closet for her to use and it had a huge pee stain in the middle of it ( not from our dog). It’s a great property, it needs lots of TLC for the price we paid. We’d love to stay here again, if the property is maintained better.

Family get away

Overall the property is nice. The house was clean and inviting when we arrived. If you were alive in the 80’s and want some nostalgia you will like it here. If you have any difficulties with balance getting down to the beach will be difficult. If you bring your dog there is no yard so you will need to leash them for a walk.

Disappointing

Pros: I will say the house was very clean upon arrival. Kudos to the cleaning crew. The kitchen was nice and the fireplace worked well. The neighborhood is very quiet. Cons: The pictures posted lead you to think otherwise, but seating does not allow a good view of the ocean at all, and isn't that what most of us come for? The loveseats are really low and between that and the deck railing your view is marginal, when it could be amazing. Windows need replaced. Pay attention to the layout when you are booking this place. The two bedrooms on the main floor will share a small bathroom and if stairs are an issue for you the other bath is downstairs. Beach access is not close to the house, unless you want to go down a very steep rocky slope with a rope for assistance. The WiFi only worked on and off one day out of 4, and the TV table had 3 remotes with no directions that took awhile to figure out. We would not book this property again.
