Fisermans House

Our stay at "The Fishermans House" was a wonderful, relaxing experiance. The house was clean, spacious and had a stunning view of the port of Nervi. Riccardo was an exceptional host who always went over and beyond to make sure our visit was enjoyable. He lent his time and tour advice to ensure that we were able to find our way up and down the coast and educated us on riding the trains, boats and buses.I would highly recomend Riccardo and his charming home.EJ

Fisherman’s House Review Genoa Nervi, ItalyCheck-in Process: Smooth check-in with Riccardo meeting us at the train station and helping with our bags. His local knowledge was invaluable.Riccardo's Insights: Friendly and knowledgeable, Riccardo provided excellent recommendations for dining and activities, enhancing our stay.Condition of the Property: As the first rental of the season, some areas still needed attention. The beach in front was under construction, creating noise and limited access. Just not very pretty or appealing Sound Levels: The train is audible at all hours, which may disturb light sleepers.Dining Recommendations: Dining options are limited; Il Dodo Bar is good for drinks, and Halloween Restaurant offers delicious food—reservations are recommended.Breakfast Tips: Don't miss the breakfast spot on the hill for pastries he recommends. Apartment Amenities: Ceiling fans are present, but the mini splits were not able to be used? The second bathroom is small and not suitable for us. Space Considerations: the second bath is tiny and not in any of the pictures for a reason. Also the narrow stairs may be challenging for those with mobility issues.Check-out Experience: Smooth check-out. He arranged a taxi to the airport, which was convenient.Overall Impression: Nervi has its charm, though Santa Margarita might suit us better. Riccardo's exceptional hospitality was a highlight of our stay.

Nervi apartment

We had a wonderful stay in Nervi. The apartment is in a great location overlooking the harbor. Our host met us on arrival (at short notice we arrived earlier than scheduled and he was very accommodating). He spent time telling us about local places to eat and how to navigate the buses and trains. The apartment is beautiful and well equipped. Highly recommend!

Wonderful spot

This is a lovely and comfortable apartment in a really beautiful spot. The windows overlook a small picturesque bay with good food and beautiful walks along the ocean all right there, and close to public transport (but beware Italian train strikes!). The host was very helpful and responsive and everything was as described in the listing. I would love to go back again some day.

A Diamond By the Sea

Genova Nervi to me is better than Portofino. Colored buildings in a small cove/marina with a beach. 8 restaurants. 2 gelato bars, crepes, and a wine bar. Cove has own ferry dock to visit other towns on Italian Riviera like Portofino and Monterosso and beautiful wide walkway along the ocean to the train station nearby. Apartment is newly remodeled and lovely with view in middle of beach and ocean. Manager Riccardo responds to everything quickly - meets u at the train station - available to help u with any needs you require or ask of him. I can’t give anything lower than a perfect 10 rating for him and our time in Genova Nervi. You will enjoy the Italian food and people and places u can visit from this location.

Fabulous Apartment in Genoa Nervi!

This is a lovely apartment right at the water's edge in the small port of Genoa Nervi. It was very clean and well appointed with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Riccardo welcomed us at the door. He was gracious and readily available to answer any questions regarding the apartment and general information about the area. We enjoyed every minute and will be back again!

Lovely place

This property has a wonderful view of the Ligurian Sea. There are good restaurants and gelato just steps from your front door. We really enjoyed our stay here. One word of caution - this property is on the second floor with no elevator and the steps are steep. If you have mobility concerns, you might want to try somewhere else.

Wonderful Apartment

Riccardo truly is the best host. He met us at the train station and helped with our luggage. He gave us all the information on the area to visit and how to get around. The apartment was very clean and spacious. Pack light, you have a washing machine to use for your stay. Riccardo called a taxi for us when we left which made our journey very easy. Many places to eat in Nervi but make a reservation. Ten out of Ten. Thanks Riccardo

Best host you'll ever meet, dreamy Seaside location

Riccardo is the most kind, soft-spoken and wonderful property host we have ever met. Full, open sea view in Nervi from the living room looks out at the beach, boat launch and local restaurants. Property has full kitchen, large rooms, fast-working air conditioner or fan. After booking, we immediately received maps, transportation information, recommendations. Slow, 10-minute walk along the Ligurian Sea from Nervi train station. Dinner at Halloween or Bagni Medusa. Boat trip to Camogli and Portofino. Long train ride to Cinque Terre or a short trip to Genoa. Supermarket and Pharmacie nearby. Go to the bakery up the hill for fresh, original foccacia or other treats. Enjoy your stay at the Fisherman's House!

Wonderful

The apartment is spacious and comfortable, luxurious even, and tasteful. Airco in every room, plenty of daylight, great kitchen and bathroom. All appliances in good order and easy to use. The view is 24/7 entertainment, with the lovely & lively harbour right at your feet. Plenty of choice from nice restaurants. Frequented mostly by locals and Italian visitors, Nervi is not as posh or touristic as Portofino etc. so that's a plus. And the acces to train, boat and beach is brilliant. So we could very much live with the few minor downsides: no parking spot near the house; noise from trains (back) and terraces (front) when windows are open; the canal down the street can be smelly; steep stairs (but compared to Amsterdam houses the stairs are perfectly fine..). Riccardo is the most gracious host who speaks English perfectly and goes out of his way to help with luggage and with tips and advice. In short: highly recommended!

An A+ for the apartment; very comfortable, luxurious and complete An A+ for the location (the lively area is great) and it's a fantastic base to explore the Ligurian coast (by train, bus of boat) An A+ for the gracious host. He supplies so much information and it's fantastic how he arranges a parking spot nearby the house (NB otherwise it's almost impossible to find a spot). In short: you will not be disappointed if you book a stay in Nervi.

We (family with two kids) lived here for 6 days in June, and had an absolutely fantastic stay. The host gave us lots of tips to what to do, where to travel, where to eat, where to buy gelato (Chicco!), where to buy foccacias for breakfast, the best beaches, etc - and all of them was of great value for us. There are very good and cosy restaurants only few meters from the appartment. Nervi is a great place to stay when visiting other places in Liguria (we went to Genoa, Bogliasco, Camogli, Portofino and San Fruttuoso) but most of all: Nervi is a great place to stay in itself. The appartment was great, and the host was very kind, helpful and easy to communicate with. I recommend this place of all my heart.

It is exactly what I expected. Riccardo is an excellent host, give all necessary informations and help for what you need, as check in and check out, with the luggages. He left some kind amenities. The place is very good, excellent to live a typical Italian life in a porticciolo, but with travel facilities to travel around if you want to do regional tourism. The apartment is very nice , with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a nice and complete kitchen and room with sea view, and washing machine. The entrance has a sharp stair, he warned about that, just if you have a big problem of mobility talk to him before. Excellent holiday!!

Without Doubt, The Best Place to Stay for a Visit to Genoa

Basing ourselves in Nervi for our visit to the Genoa Area was great. The accommodation is fantastic, we hardly wanted to explore beyond Nervi. There are views of the harbour from the accommodation, as well as great food at restaurants nearby. Riccardo was so helpful, making our stay even better. We wish we had stayed longer, it was so good there!

Nervi - A Great Base to see the Ligurian Coast.

Riccardo emailed maps, notes and recommendations before our holiday so when we arrived we knew the area quite well. Nervi is a great base to see all the Ligurian coast has to offer. Great train links and short travel times make exploring easy. It was quiet in September and was still warm and dry. The apartment was spacious with a lovely lived in feel with super views of the small harbour and local restaurants. Riccardo was very attentive and a great host, full of ideas and suggestions and took the time to go through in detail the various maps and public transport information he had provided in the apartment. Highly recommend this property.

The Perfect Place

I cannot say enough great things about this rental. The location is in the heart of an idyllic Ligurian coastal town with restaurants and bars steps away. The rooms are spacious with 2 bedrooms on the back to keep things quiet. A beautiful bathroom and easy convenient kitchen with a relaxing living room with gorgeous views. The host was so kind and has lots of photo books of Ligurian coast as well as maps that make easy decide what to see by boat train or bus. You will love this apartment. If I can work it out I will definitely be back.

Perfect experience in every way!

We have stayed in many VRBOs, but I believe that this one is our favorite to date! Riccardo is so helpful every step of the way, and his apartment is stunning inside and out. You won’t believe the location, and how glamorous yet comfortable it is. We definitely plan to come back, and we loved our time in Nervi.

Schöne Wohnung für einen tollen Urlaub

Wir haben 1 Woche in dieser Wohnung verbracht. Sie ist schön eingerichtet, sehr sauber und hat eine tolle Aussicht. Die Lage am kleinen Hafen von Nervi ist sehr idyllisch. An der Straße am Hafen sind einige Restaurants, was aber nicht negativ auffällt (Lautstärke, Geruch). Die Schlafzimmer sind nach hinten raus und entsprechend eher ruhig. Der Vermieter ist sehr hilfsbereit und extrem freundlich. Nervi als Ort ist eine schöne und ruhige Stadt zwischen Genua und den Cinque Terre. Es handelt sich um den idealen Ort, um in beide Richtungen zu reisen. Einziges kleines Manko: Der in der Anzeige angegebene Parkplatz ist im herkömmlichen Sinne als Privatparkplatz nicht vorhanden. Man muss hoffen, einen der wenigen öffentlichen Parkplatz an einer 300m entfernten Hauptstraße zu bekommen oder auf einen teuren, noch wesentlich weiter entfernten „Bezahlparkplatz“ fahren. Alles in allem haben wir in der Wohnung aber einen tollen Urlaub verbringen dürfen, in dem wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben!

just fantastic

Just a fantastic apartment for our family’s first days on our first trip to Italy! Riccardo is a wonderful host; he met the four of us at the train station and walked us to the apartment which is even nicer than depicted here. He gave us quick tips on the local restaurants, all very nice (pay attention — he was right about everything!), how to catch the ferry for a lovely day trip to Camogli/SanFrutuosso/Portofino, how to catch the 17 bus to and from Genoa, how to walk to a local beach etc. We felt very welcomed and Riccardo’s help made our stay there perfect. The harbor area and restaurants are all very pleasant in the evenings, and it was easy and quick to get to Genoa and the Cinque Terre towns. Thank you Riccardo for making such great memories for us!

Perfect location for exploring the Italian Riviera

We happened upon this property at the end of our two-week vacation because we planned to stay in Piedmont but the temps were 10-15 degrees cooler on the sea - and we are so pleased with our decision! Our host, Riccardo, went above and beyond to make our stay and experience wonderful. First of all, Riccardo met us on the roundabout near the apartment and helped us find a parking spot and bring our luggage up two flights of stairs. We had a few issues that he resolved right away. The apartment is situated right on the sea with beautiful views and located near many restaurants as well as a walking path. Riccardo gave us instruction on how to visit the small town on the sea via train and ferry. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend this apartment.
