  • The Admiral House is a large home close to all that the Driftless region in Wisconsin has to offer. World class fishing, abundant hiking and biking nearby, boat landings and many other outdoor activities. La Crosse is nearby with its historic downtown and many festivals throughout the year. The house has a large yard with games for the kids and room for the dogs.
    Outdoor area with grill and picnic table. Bring your boat, kayak or canoe and explore the river with its many backwaters. Full kitchen with all things necessary to prepare meals, if cooking isn't your thing many supper clubs and restaurants nearby. Clements Fishing Barge, a historic icon on the river, is a local fishing resort located within half mile. Situated within steps of Captain Hook's Bait and Tackle giving you access to ice, beer, pop and sporting goods.

The property was spacious and comfortable. Cooking meals in the large kitchen was very accommodating. Bathrooms are nicely upgraded.

Property location & accommodations were perfect for our stay. Owners were very helpful with suggestions for the area and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again!

This property was perfect for my extended family trip! Plenty of bedrooms and space to gather. the town is small but there is a convenience store close by and it's only a half hour or so from La Crosse. Gorgeous sunsets from the patio! Looking forward to coming back next year!

We had a out 10 guests and a few dogs and the space was more than adequate. We had great communication and no issues with the property or it's surrounding area. Very nice and very quiet. A great stay all around.

Host was very accommodating. Enough rooms and beds for an extended family trip! Large kitchen table for everyone to sit and eat at, hang out at, and play games. The location is not that far from a town to get some food, go to the beach, relax and have a good time.Took us a minute to realize some of the lights had dimmer switches! The only negative I can come up with is there were stains on the carpet that were unpleasant to look at. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay!

Very beautiful property in a nice quiet area. Very spacious interior with a grill and fire in the back. An amazing experience, would definitely recommend!

Wonderful time!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The home was beautiful, clean and nicely decorated. I would absolutely love to stay here again. Plenty of space for a large family gathering.

We had a very nice time at The Admiral House. The owners were very friendly and provided all of the comforts you need when staying away from home. We also spent time fishing out on Clements Fishing Barge, which is very close by.

We had 8 men for our annual hunting trip. There was plenty of room for everyone and all the gear. Great location by the Mississippi River. Looking forward to next year.

Great spacious house in quaint area

We had a great stay. The fishing store next door was great as our son loves to fish. The house was clean and spacious. Lots of room to relax and enjoy nature.

Awesome place for a group!

We were in town for a UW-L alumni weekend. We have small children so this place was perfect - cost effective, spacious, and close enough to campus to make it to our events. The rooms were all comfortable and the location on the river is beautiful!

Convenient and Comfortable Location

We needed a place to sleep 10 people near Stoddard and this house fit the bill perfectly. The property was exactly as it was listed and had great common areas for gathering as a group. Would recommend for anyone coming to the area with a large group.
