Unieke locatie in The Middle of Nowhere aan de Great Ocean Road route. Waar je geheel tot rust komt. Waar de eigenaar Matthew dit huis zelf heeft gebouwd en met bestaande materialen dit huis tot een sprookjes huis heeft omgetoverd, met creatieve indelingen tussen slaap, eet, keuken en badkamer waar alles heel rustgevend in elkaar overvloeit en er creatieve open stellingen de ruimtes accentueren. Alles bedacht vanuit een filosofie die bestaande materialen laat hergebruiken en er iets anders van te maken. Ondanks dit alles, ruimtes van alle gemakken voorzien en op een unieke locatie, alsof je huis zweeft op een berg met prachtig uitzicht en vergezichten in de Australische natuur. Alles verzorgt met eigen gekweekte groenten, specerijen en honing van de eigen bijen kolonie achter zijn mainhouse. Kortom een fantastische gastheer, man met visie en een droom to make this world a healthy and better place, well done Matthew and good luck with finishing your stunning hotel with same principes. We absolutely loved our stay. Matthew is a great host, ensuring we were looked after then leaving us to enjoy the tranquility of the property. We ordered the pies which were huge and excellent! It was a real break from the every day, fully self contained with everything we needed. It’s a beautiful area with a short drive to lovely walks. Highly recommended for a relaxing escape!

This property is the perfect place to escape to! If I could spend more time there I would. Being able to lay in bed with the sound of the fireplace crackling and watching the birds outside, was simply idyllic. Would love to visit again!

Absolutely stunning spot! My partner and I had the most incredible stay. The environment is just magic – we spotted wallabies and got lucky with perfect weather the whole time. Matthew was an absolute legend – super helpful, met us at the property, showed us around, and made sure we knew how everything worked. On our way out a tree has fallen on the road blocking our way, and he within minutes organised it removed. Incredible host!Even though it’s off the grid, we didn’t sacrifice a single bit of comfort – there’s proper electricity, clean running water, gas for cooking, and all the appliances you'd expect. Matthew even had the fire going before we arrived, so we walked into a warm, spotless, and super cozy place.The view from the house is breathtaking, and the bath is massive . We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better host, better accommodation, or a better getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

A little hidden gem

Right from the booking to departure everything ran smooth and very well organised by matty. A great hidden gem for a romantic getaway well concealed and hidden from the outter world and a true point of privacy at its best even great for a family of 4. It has everything you need and provided truley a marvel.

Unique, rustic and peaceful

Definitely unique and quirky ! Absolutely loved it. So different to my usual style of accommodation. Views are stunning, large windows with views every side. Steep terrain and a lot of instructions to fully enjoy therefore would recommend two nights or more to fully enjoy it :-) the host was amazingly accommodating and great communication. Even little personal touches like baked item and olives, onions, lemons etc from garden.

Wonderful, relaxing stay

This property is just like it looks in the pictures and so relaxing. There were deer, wallabies and rosellas frequently roaming around the property. Will definitely return again. Thanks Matthew!

The perfect quiet break

We had the most wonderful, relaxing time in Lower Gellibrand, we did not want to leave. It was so quiet and peaceful, we could sit and look at the view all day (from the bed or bath). The kitchen is really well equipped and Matthew was an exceptional host, very warm and welcoming - the local honey, tea, butter, olives and the amazing garden were much appreciated. Thank you Matthew, we will be back again next time we are in Australia.

Secluded gem!

We loved our stay at Rehab155! Perfect for a weekend getaway on the great ocean road. The location and stay was as described, truely remote and secluded. We spotted lots of wildlife including birds, deers and a koala. Matthew was an exceptional host who was responsive and friendly. Would recommended to anyone who wants a peaceful and unique retreat away from the city.
