Communication with host was great, but there were no corrections to issues we reported. There was no heat in the guest house for the entirety of our stay. Space heaters had to be purchased by us. The heat was not working properly in the master bedroom. The kitchen chandelier was hanging from ceiling. There were broken blinds. Light bulbs had to be changed by us in kitchen and backyard was out, too. The draining was slow in bathroom sink. There are uneven floors in the hallway. There is a list of issues for guest house--leaking shower, broken shower wand, sink draining slow, bad air mattresd that didnt hold air. We would not book this house again.

While this home is in a great location with a great outdoor space, we were sorely disappointed with the lack of attention to detail. A couch and fridge that were much smaller than the listing photos, wood floors that are buckling due to obvious water damage, and an out of order hot tub and fireplace. We were not able to enjoy all of the amenities we paid for. Though they had comfortable beds and a beautiful outdoor space that was great for kids, we wouldn't recommend this place until they fixed the issues that we told them about and sent detailed photos about.

Clean. Great living space. Very comfy beds. Loved the hot tub. Nice front porch area. Easy 15-20 min drive to Gatlinburg.

Location is great.Housekeeping and/or Maintenance needs an overhaul.Partial List of Issues:Torn/stained sofa (no sectional from pics)Slow/Clogged Vanity DrainMissing Outdoor Chair Cushions(2) Adirondack Chairs Instead of (4)—Both BrokenMouse Droppings at Fireplace and last but not least, 1/2 eaten piece of bacon in windowsill.

Chain Gang

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay. Only needs some easier way for disabled guest to be able to get on the deck and porch and furniture inside that’s a little more disability friendly. We would love to stay here again.

Wonderful place to stay! The kids loved it!

The property was perfect for our annual family getaway. Everything was clean and comfortable all while having that cabin in the woods ambiance. We can’t wait to go back!

Great weekend

With an impending snowstorm at home, we almost cancelled our trip. This location is great if you don’t like to drive winding mountain roads to get to your cabin. We also prefer to be away from the city so it was perfect for us. The house and casita accommodated our family of 9 perfectly!

Fall Break Getaway

We had a group of 8 adults and a baby (18 mo) for a long weekend trip. The location was great and close to everything. We loved the property and outside area. My grandbaby loved the playground and creek. Hot tub was huge! Biggest we ever had. And plenty of items to cook with. Very well stocked rental. Definitely great for a family. Everyone enjoyed the arcade game too!

Sugar Cove

Of your going to be staying longer than a night, Id bring extra towels. You are given one towel and was cloth per person. Pots and pans are old and barely usable, if your cooking I would bring pots and skillets. All the sinks and tubs have standing water while in use. No ice, bring your own ice. They have one flimsy ice tray and a molded ice maker. The outdoors needs maintaining. Over grown grass on the walk way and shribs are over grown. Apparently iron is in the water, so the hottub has iron build up. The shower in the guest house leaks whilst taking a shower. The coffe pot has no filters that work. All the filters are cones, you need round filters. Bring your own washcloth for the kitchens, you have one sponge to wipe and clean with. My husband suggested bringing a power washer to wash the outside of the home. Debris is overflowing in the gutters which causes overpopulated amount of nats and mosquitoes. This home would be nice with some tlc. this

Sugar Cove

Cabin was very clean and well furnished with the exception of the living room sectional. The appliances were all in good working order. The hot tub is huge and was very comfortable even with several people in it. Do not use google maps...it brings you down another road which dead ends at the back of the property which has no access.

Great cabin for small children and family

We enjoyed or family vacation staying at the cabin. It was very clean and the area was quite. We loved that everything was on one floor made it easy with young kids. The area was nice and quiet and it was just a easy ride into Gatlinburg. We would definitely book this cabin again if we come back to the area.

family vacation

The house turned out to be even better than I expected! The pictures really do it no justice. I loved sitting on the porch and listening to the creek. Everything about the house was very comfortable. I truly did not want to come home to my own bed after sleeping with the most comfortable mattress and pillows and comforter ever! The area has so much to explore. I would love to come back again.

Great for family gathering

Very clean, comfortable home. Besides a few steps to front door it's all on one level. Be aware, beds sit up high. I wish there were hooks in bathroom for robe or clothes when one showers. There was issue with HVAC unit which fortunately we didn’t need AC. Guest house had issue with heater and plumbing and bed in guest house tends to dip in center. My niece and her husband chose not to stay there more than one night. Company was good about having repairman come right away and work on units and plumbing. Lovely location of home, enjoyed nearby stream and firepit one evening. There were 8+ of us staying here, we were all comfortable and enjoyed our stay. I would definitely come back.

Great Cabin

Great cabin! Lots of room in the cabin and around the property. Kids loved the play area and arcade. Short drive into Gatlinburg. We will be back again!

Wonderful time

This rental was perfect for our family vacation. Location was quiet with a nice little creek beside for the kids to play in. Drive to Gatlinburg was a little far but worked out ok. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location, layout, and amenities for our family

Everyone in our group loved Sugar Cove. Its location was very convenient to hiking, tubing, and all the activities in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Being down off the mountain made trips quicker and easier (less motion sickness!). It also allowed for a large, flat yard which was great for time around the fire pit and playing corn hole. The layout of the house, guest house, and the porches was fantastic both for large gatherings and independent activities. The amenities were great - a fully stocked kitchen, games, towels, and a huge hot tub! They really thought of everything. We would love to book Sugar Cove again.

Nice place...a hassle to check-in!

The place fit our needs nicley. The check-in process with the last minute documentation is a hassle. I asked months ago to send all correspondence to another email, so that I may respond more timely. I never got a rely, nor was the request granted.

Good location and amenities

Definitely a good location for those traveling with a large group and want to avoid being close to other cabins. Only complaints was some leftover trash on the floors in some of the rooms, leftovers can tabs, wrappers, tissue etc. One knicked my foot cause it was stuck in the carpet but the rest of the house was amazing and spacious. Also communicating with the team was hit or miss and sometimes took a bit to get an answer. An item was left and they told me it would be shipped if found, only issue was that I wasn’t told it shipped till 8 days after it’s arrival. The guest house was great too with an arcade unit and pool table. The hot tub was probably the best one I’ve ever used as well. Big enough for a large group. The location was great because it wasn’t too far from Gatlinburg however I do recommend a better or marker for the entrance and releveling the gravel driveway. The cabin has a lot to offer and worth the price. Definitely homey and has all the tools you need to cook at home if that’s your thing. Definitely recommended.

Amazing Cabin & Hosts!!

We stayed here for our elopement with our kids and family and it was amazing! The cabin was absolutely beautiful. Our whole family was very pleased with the accommodations. There were so many nice touches left for us from the hosts! They were extremely responsive and able to address all of our requests. They even left a beautiful bouquet of flowers on our doorstep that we came back to on the night of our wedding! My whole family and I would stay again without hesitation.

not a bad place

So, as we stayed there there were a few things the came to mind about the property. They do have some ant problem, and the floors had a slight uneven but wasn't a big problem. Over all wish it was a little closer to Gatlinburg but was nice and quite for the most part.

Great for families

We selected this property because of its family friendly nature, and we were not disappointed. The swing set, yard, and creek were all great for playing. The fire pit was perfect for s'mores in the evenings. The guest house was nice to have a place separate from the hustle and bustle of the main house. We were at capacity, so when everyone was inside, it was a bit tight. But we spent most of our time outside. Really the only downside we encountered was the capacity of the hot water heater. This would of course not be an issue with fewer adults in the property.
