It is filled with construction workers. Worse yet, you do not have access to the resort or any of its “few” restaurants. You are not told any of this during booking. The pool that you do have access to was filthy. I spoke with the registration person who admittedly took some responsibility for the fact...

"Loved this bayside villa! A large condo very close to the beach!!! Outdoor seating space overlooking the bay was nice. I was greeted by a sea otter in the early morning. I loved my time in Captiva and can’t wait to go back. The host was very responsive and checked on me throughout my entire stay to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I need. "

"Host was prompt in answering questions and I felt very comfortable upon arrival. The tv console was broken but did not inconvenience us. However, I was quite disappointed in the bedding. Dust ruffle was old, shabby looking and on the bed in disarray. The pillows were hard- I was expecting more hotel quality in all the bedding- sheets, blankets etc. the mattress was very comfortable as were the towels. "

"Great unit & perfect location. Beautiful view of the marina side & wildlife (osprey, manatee, herons, etc). Quick 5-10 minute walk to the beach on the Gulf side. Pool & hot tub right next to the unit building. Plenty of parking & 10-15 minute walk to downtown bars & restaurants. Host was very responsive & generous. Highly recommend!"
