Good place to sleep

The condo location is amazing, plenty of linens for summer time, towles, and ok kitchen supplies. Overall the place was great!! Cleaning needs more detail put into it. The freezer had stuff spilled in it and was pretty dirty, bathtoom had garbage on floor under counter (broom could've got it) we dripped water on kitchen floor wiped it up and the paper towel was black - we had just arrived there it was not from us. Pull out couch had cookie and chips in it still. There was a water main issue that was not the condos fault, but Management was fantastic about getting us water and keeping us informed when it would be back on.

Large condo near Bear Lake Marina

Large 2 bedroom condo, spacious, comfortable beds, well equpt kitchen, parking is close by, well maintained pool and tennis courts nearby. We enjoyed our stay, would stay here again.

Clean rental

Our initial arrival the place was clean. It has several outdated amenities, we had to buy our own dvds so the kids could watch something in their room, only cable supplied in the living room (cheaper to supply smart tvs or streaming devices). I am sure most days people are outside for the most part, but we had a rainy day. Then the evenings we like to relax with a movie. There are no designated pool towels (wasn't sure if we could use the regular ones) luckily we had brought our own. The beds were ok... not 5 star but not completely trash. This is a very basic rental if you just need somewhere clean to sleep.

You get what you pay for

What went well: Location Kitchen items Climate control Opportunities: We were offered an additional night at a 50% so we booked it. I kept a screenshot just to make sure nothing came up and sure enough, the company contacted us to checkout a day early. I sent them the screenshot as proof that we extended our stay and they refused to honor the price because “they never confirmed” the booking officially. Other issues that came up: We did kill multiple bugs and spyders during our stay. The gas fireplace doesn’t work. The unit is way over due for an upgrade. The beds are tiny and it could all use a deep cleaning. All in all, you get what you pay for as far as the place itself; however, I personally will never stay at another Vacasa property due to the experience we have had.

Wonderful experience!

We have never been to Bear Lake and decided on a whim after a wedding to stay for a few days. This condo was comfortable, clean and quiet! The pool and hot tub were within steps from the condo and it was a perfect way to end the day. We could see the lake from the pool. It was a peaceful, beautiful getaway! I would stay there again!

We enjoyed our stay!

The place is older but it was clean. Check in was easy. It was close to the swimming pool. Cons- I would have liked king beds. Not much bedding (sheets) for the pull-out beds and there were no chairs on the patio. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Needs some work

The condo is in a great location, I’ll give it that. But the walls and doors are dingy and dirty. In the master bedroom they have probably 10 old and mismatched pillows with no covers. All of the curtains are super sheer so you are up when the sun is up, especially for the kids out on the sofa bed. Mattresses are old and creaky. Needs updating in the linen and bed department The kitchen is well appointed and stocked.

Decent Property, Could Be Better

The property is located in a solid location and has nice amenities (pool, playground, etc). The hardest part is that it lacked in cleanliness in general. Some lightbulbs were burned out. It has extra pillows, but no pillow cases to be found. The sliding door for the patio area was incredibly difficult to use, I’m guessing that will break in time. As some of the other reviews said, there were bugs throughout the property. It wasn’t terrible, but noticeable. In short, it feels like it had been a while since the property had been really deep cleaned, reviewed and updated, or had the property manager going out and getting the property in quality condition.

Needs housekeeping

The condo itself was as described, however, I was shocked to have a glob of long black hair on the wall of the shower upon arrival. As we pulled out the spare bed in the living room, the crumbs and misc. inside of the couch and underneath was enough to keep our grandson from sleeping on it. We found the broom, but it was covered in cobwebs. The pillows were stained and we were a little uncomfortable with the housekeeping. Everything else was fine and the complex was nice. As we were here for a family reunion we only used it to sleep and shower. I hate to leave bad reviews but hopefully this will help improve the cleanliness for the next people who stay. Check in/out was very easy also, all done through emails/texts.

The place was comfortable and great location to the lake. The sidewalks need dicing. The pilot light for fireplace was out. We noticed after shopping in Montpelier that the kitchen didn't have aluminum foil. That may not be something offered, but would be helpful. Overall, we were happy and had a great rest there.

Bring your own EVERYTHING!

We needed this rental for myself and employees for Raspberry Days. No complaints when you are just sitting around after working a long say at the event....Until bedtime when we couldn't find any sheets for the two pullout couches. We had to use just the 3 blankets in the closets until the next day we had a friend bring us sheets. There were 2 pillows and pillowcases in each bedroom closet, so that seemed like where the sheets should be. We checked every drawer in the rooms and bathrooms. It wasn't until we were leaving the unit that my child opened the tiny tv stand to check for our own possessions and found sheets rolled up in there, on top of a dirty satellite box and other miscellaneous items. Towels- this unit was for 8. There were only 8 towels. No pool towels, so if we wanted to swim, which we did, we had to reuse our shower towel. Thought about washing the towels afterwards, but hey, there was no way to dry them since the dryer was hanging out on the patio covered by a sheet. (you know, those things that were missing in our unit!) We could not get the back sliding door to lock. We had a substantial amount of cash with us for the event, and we worried the whole time about someone entering the unit. The kitchen is huge, but not well stocked with cooking items. I believe I read this in a review before we went so I wasn't expecting much. Nothing was organized, there were random pieces of kitchen items in every single cabinet. Perhaps random items people have left behind. Took some time to find what we needed to do some basic cooking. Closet had maybe 6 coat hanger, all were random (wire, free plastic from store, maybe 1 or 2 plastic ones that were purchased). Not that this really matters, but when you think about how much we pay for a unit like this, and that this is owned not by a mom and pop, but a vacation rental company, it is irritating that they can't spend a little to make their guests stay the best. Also, there was a "welcome" pamphlet on the fireplace that had information for some other location. Nothing applied. Oh and a wrapper for a Hi-Chew leaning up on the welcome pamphlet. Was that supposed to be your "welcome" treat for us? Overall, not impressed with Vacasa. I will not be renting any of their properties again as I paid a pretty penny for this and our stay was nothing but more work and worry when we were tired and exhausted from our long work days already.

The unit was very clean and looked just like the online advertisement. Check in & check out was easy

The unit was very clean and check in and check out was very easy. The dryer didn’t work so we were not able to wash and dry our clothes & towels, but everything else was great! We would stay here again.

Great location, but won’t use this condo again

We loved the location especially the pool and hot tub when the weather went bad. We were disappointed upon arrival to find that the washer and dryer were broken - one of the main things we liked about this place. As others have mentioned we also found the kitchen floor to be really dirty. To the point that the first night we wiped it with a damp towel and the towel ended up black. This left us wondering how well anything else in the condo had been cleaned. We had hoped that given the spread of the virus, the condo would have been cleaned especially well which didn’t seem to be the case.

Issues that we experienced are below..

We had no chairs on the patio. The bedrooms have TV's in them but no stations only DVD players. We didn't know to bring DVD"s. A few of the plates and pans had dried on food. Dirty kitchen floor.

Great location. Great trip. Great facility. However there was no property manager, at least that we could find. So you are pretty much on your own.

Perfect family rental

We travel 900 miles every summer to enjoy Bear Lake with our kids and as our family has grown, so have our rental needs. This was a wonderful family spot without having to grow our budget. We only wish we had more time to enjoy everything there. Can't wait to return!

Not Cleaned Between Renters

I’m not sure if it was on purpose or not, but the unit wasn’t cleaned between renters. We spent the first hour cleaning and doing laundry from the previous renters. The condo was great though! However if a cleaning fee is being charged, it would be nice to make sure that the units are actually cleaned between renters.
