The yellow belle was just what we wanted. Very low key in an older ‘hood. The owner returned text quickly. Fully furnished. LOVE the claw tub! Very hot water. Roomy for the 5 of us. 2 bedrooms downstairs and 3 twin beds upstairs with their own play area.

Needs updating and deep cleaning

So the pictures look somewhat like what you get. Apparently it had been a while since someone had stayed there so everything was dusty. Couldn’t use the pack porch as it was covered in tree droppings. One of the couches in the living room use to be leather but it has peeled away and continues to flake so we avoided that chair. The main shower has this really nice shower head that you can change water pressure but the knob to do so is missing. Son parked his car in the driveway and we parked in the street. When we got home son had to get special stuff to clean his car cause of the tree droppings. The trees above the driveway are covered in looks like worm silk so that could be the cause. Would we stay there again. Maybe if it was updated. Oh if you park in the street be ready if you leave early and come back to have to find parking as there is a like a daycare across the street. Host was responsive to questions till we complained about the showerhead and couch then they ghosted us.

Perfect for our family!

We loved this house! The place looked just like the photos. There were some past reviews mentioning a smell, we did notice it but it was not overwhelming, couldn't even smell it most of the time and it did not affect our comfortability. I loved the kitchen, cookware and utensils! The AC worked fantastic. There were no problems with either bathroom, shower or the washer and dryer, all functioned properly. The kids loved their space upstairs. We slept so good on the comfortable beds! This was our first time to Galveston, it is a lovely town, quiet at night. We would love to stay here again and 100% recommend!

Comfy Beach Vacation

We were originally set for this home but the air was not working properly, so the property manager moved us to a different home that was a lot bigger and nicer ! The yellow house was super cute and we would have enjoyed it if the air was cooling all the rooms well. My only critique would be kitchen items - the property we were moved to didn’t have a toaster and there were 4 kitchens so a toaster is a necessity! There was also no seasonings - salt/pepper at the home we were moved to. All else was great!!

Great Stay

Great Location. Very close to main road and our venue for the Beach Tournament. Easy access to stores and food. Very quiet location. Property manager always responded within reasonable timeframe.

A/C and beds

We come to celebrate my son graduation drove 300 miles The a/c didn't keep the house cool it was very uncomfortable and the beds were hard it was not a comfortable stay at all didn't cook because it was already warm in the houe even with all ceiling fans on turning on burner made staying in there unbearable this was a waste of money

Good Not Great

This is an older house & and you are hit with the musty smell when you first enter the front door!. The living room furniture is tired - couch is new but one are chair cover is literally falling apart and the other chair is vintage 1970's. The kitchen makeover was nice. The on suite master bath makeover was nice. The AC return for the whole house is in the FLOOR of the master bath floor - OMG, come on man! Clawfoot tub in the other bathroom with no shower. Vacant house next door with windows missing. Preschool across the street makes for lots of traffic in the afternoon - we were blocked out of our driveway twice due to moms parking & blocking to retrieve kids. Would not stay here again!

Not worth the money

When walking into the house there was a bad odor. Living room: furniture was very uncomfortable. Fabric on one of the chairs was peeling of onto our clothes everytime we say down. Kitchen was beautiful but appliances was very dirty. I pulled out a spoon to use and it had dried up eggs on it. Bathrooms #1, beautiful but the towel holder holder had fallen off the wall and was on the floor next to the sink. Bathroom #2, beautiful but once I showered one of the sinks filled up with bath water. Patio cover was down and the patio furniture was dirty and full of leaves. Look like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Bedrooms, beds was uncomfortable. The TV in the master bedroom did not work. The furniture was out dated and bars stool was used to hold the lamp. House temperature had to be reset several times . We had to fight flies the whole time we were there. My advice would be to remodel this house before over changing guest. I will not return!

Miserable

No AC for two days and nights 83 degrees inside. Then we were given another house at 10:00 PM at night and had to move all our things and got moved in and to bed at 11:15 PM. I think we should get a two day refund.

It was great there were just a couple small things that were irritating. The air did not work very well. It was 80 outside and the air could barely keep the house at 72. Otherwise the rooms and the house were very nice and the property managers were nice

Good location, spacious accommodation

Recently remodeled. Plenty of space to fit everyone with some fun features (play room) for kids. Location is great. Walking distance for the Bryan museum.

Just ok.

We come to the island often as this was our home for many years. There were several issues with the home & backyard area. While the owner was promt to respond, there was no rectifying the situation during our stay. Extra charges per dog are not paid upfront. Upon arrival you're messaged to process through iTrips. The fee per pet is more than posted with an additional processing fee that was disclosed on VRBO post but not quantified. Although the property location is exactly where we wanted, we will not return. It's ok and has potential for improvements.

Thanksgiving in Galveston

We enjoyed this remodeled historic home located in the middle of many activities in Galveston. The off street parking was handy and the front porch very nice. I loved soaking in the claw foot tub! I think it could be much nicer if some small appliances worked and the furniture were a little newer.

Great stay

Wonderful neighborhood, part of the island I have not explored. Kitchen was disorganized and allot of items needed to be cleaned, previous tenants had “cleaned” and put away-time to take an hour and clear it out, clean it up. Only one dish rag and no dish towel, which gets gross fast

Not quite clean, trash overflowing when we arrived

I understand the trash may only be picked up once a week, but being welcomed by a giant pile of trash is never a good sign (hint: you can get another cart from the city at no additional cost anywhere in TX). Trash could also be found all around the premises (discarded fast food bags/containers, spent aluminum foil, trashed foldable chairs, you name it). The beds were made, but I doubt the sheets were replaced, unless the cleaning crew purposely dumped a bunch of hair on/in the beds after changing the sheets. Given what was in the pile of trash in front of the house, it looks like the house is rented to people who come to Galveston to party, and maybe their expectations are not that high--if you fall in that category, the house might work for you. If you're a family and have slightly higher expectations, pass.

Weekend getaway

My family stayed the weekend here. The house was very clean and close to the beach. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The fenced in back yard was great for our dogs. Would most definitely stay again.

Great spot for family beach trip

This house was very comfortable and satisfied all of our needs for our trip to the beach. Conveniently located near the beach and a lot of restaurants. Good yard for our dog to fun around in. We had a good stay!
