Gallipoli Palazzo Doxi Fontana historic home

A charming historic residence in the heart of Old Gallipoli, near the sea, that can comfortably accommodate six people. Featuring a kitchen, bathroom, living room, master bedroom, and a large frescoed salon, it will captivate you with its 18th-century atmosphere.
In the heart of Gallipoli’s historic center stands the imposing Palazzo Doxi Fontana. Commissioned by Domenico Doxi in the 18th century, it is a significant example of the city’s Baroque architecture. On the first floor of the palace, there is a charming apartment consisting of an entryway/living room, a large frescoed hall, a double bedroom, a bathroom with a tub, and a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, stovetop, oven, and washing machine. It can comfortably accommodate six people, although the rooms are arranged one after the other, so that to reach the bathroom and kitchen, you must pass through the entryway and living room. It is ideal for families or groups of friends traveling together.
It is located about three hundred meters from Purità Beach.
Guest Access
Guests will have the entire apartment to themselves. Access is via a common entrance hall and staircase shared with other residents, so guests are asked to respect the common rules of coexistence, including the need to be considerate of others’ rest and quiet.
The hallway leading to the apartment, which features an antique votive altar, is shared with other guests of Palazzo Doxi Fontana.
Pets are not allowed.
Other things to keep in mind
Please note: access to the historic center is prohibited for unauthorized vehicles. It is recommended to park in the port area.
The apartment is located in the historic center, within a restricted traffic zone (ZTL), which is generally in effect during the summer months; vehicles are not permitted to enter or park there from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. the following day. You can leave your car in the nearby port area and walk about two hundred meters. In the port area, there is a zone where parking is free and another zone where it is paid.
The apartment is not heated.
