Property was well taken care of and the staff were so helpful. Loved that they had filtered water available! Quiet area of the island - which is what we were looking for - with a few great restaurants within 10 minutes drive.

Stunning views, secluded and an overall oasis. William, the caregiver was absolutely amazing!! We stayed with 2 adult children and our mother - there was plenty of room for all of us. The quick walk to the private beach was perfect.

Great house, fabulous pool, gardens and setting. Close to Speightstown which is getting new bars and restaurants. House needs updating and modernisation but we would still come back anytime. William and Valerie were just fantastic and looked after us brilliantly

Two adult Couples rented Freyers Well Bay House-Barbados from February 8-22-2023. Based on pictures, descriptions, and emails with VBRO and BSL rental we have the following comments regarding our experience on site. First the generous ocean property is well laid out, beautiful trees, grassy areas, and a couple of seating options near the ocean cliffs. The online pictures capture only the best angles and do not accurately depict the house or its features, particularly inside layout with bathrooms not directly adjacent to the bedrooms. The road going into the property was steep and in horrendous condition, needs major work done. At the gate was a large pothole, making it difficult to enter / exit the gate area. There was no mention or pictures of all the items in this document or on the website to caution our decision to rent the property! The Driveway is very narrow and to avoid scraping the wall side, woody shrubs on the other side of the drive scratched the side of our vehicle, costing us $500 upon return to the rental agency. An outdoor grill was provided and cleaned by the grounds keeper, who did provide charcoal left over from the last guests. However, there was no lighter fluid; we searched all over the island to buy the lighter fluid, It was not an easy find! We left our fluid for the next guests. Lighter fluid should have been provided. Our major inconvenience & complaint is NO warm/ hot water throughout the house (kitchen and bathrooms) every morning! We approached the grounds keeper who suggested late afternoon or evening showers. He made mention of turning on a booster, but we did not see any improvement in getting anything but cold water. The kitchen was small, but well stocked with dishware and utensils. Note: small black bugs were crawling around everywhere! In the cabinets, refrigerator and on surfaces and dishes. The kitchen’s gas stove burners were too hot to cook on, even on low/simmer, the knobs did not control the flame very well and the burner grates did not provide a level / stable surface for cooking with pots and skillets. . . frustrating! part I of II

Wow - just Amazing!

Pictures do not do justice to how lovely the villa is. Pool is huge and the whole property is so well maintained. William and Valerie are awesome and we can't thank them enough for all of their help. Valerie was lovely, friendly & full of smiles. William you go above and beyond expectations - cleaning the barbeque etc and are a true credit to the owners of this villa. Honestly no need to rent a car - we saved loads of money by finding a great taxi driver (Ezra of EZB Tours!!). All of our excursions included transport and Ezra was on hand to take us to dinner venues and out shopping etc. We could not have asked for anything more. Taunia at BSL deserves a mention too! Thank you Taunia for all your help organising everything. Rum Tour, Catamaran, Island Tour, Harrison Caves - highly recommended. Bring lots of sunscreen and bug spray. Beaches are beautiful. People are friendly. Roads are a little crazy - again good idea having a taxi driver :) If you get a chance to visit - this is the villa to stay in.

The most beautiful place ever!

If you’re considering booking this villa, do it!! Pictures don’t do it justice. It’s in the perfect location if you’re looking to stay outside of the touristic centres. There’s a beautiful beach 5 minutes walk away where locals swim and fish, you can drive into speightstown in 10 minutes and to the nearby fish pot restaurant in 5. There’s a family of monkeys that will pay you a visit from time to time and loads of tiny birds that come in and out of the living area freely. We also saw humpback wales from the terrace one evening! Best place we’ve ever stayed for sure.

Everything you want it to be!

I can’t recommend this Villa, and Blue Skies property managment, enough. From start to finish communication was fantastic helping us get equipment for the baby, and organising transfers and even a chef for the day. No query was too big or small. Fantastic! And the Villa is a slice of heaven, the building is traditional, so not swish and modern, but it feels like a home. Clean, comfortable and all you would need. It’s the grounds though that this villa is all about! WOW FACTOR!! A once in a lifetime to stay somewhere with such a beautiful big private pool, overlooking the ocean, different areas to sit, hammocks, we dined out in the evening and Monkeys would join us for sundowner drinks overlooking the ocean. You need a car but things are only a small drive away, and we really enjoyed going out for a lunch or a beach and then retreating to our private piece of heaven. We would defiantly look to rebook if we were lucky enough to return to Barbados - it’s an amazing find!!

Beautiful Bajan Home

My husband and I were fortunate to spend ten nights at the Freyers Well Bay House. The house sits in a lovely location overlooking the ocean. Beach access is but a few steps away. Each evening a troop of green monkeys played in and scampered through the yard providing quite a bit of entertainment. William and Valerie, the gardener and housekeeper respectively, were friendly and helpful during our stay. The main living area is open air with a fan. The bedrooms are all well-appointed and air conditioned. There is a cat that hangs around the property. He was a little feisty the first day, but soon realized we were friendly after which he became quite snuggly. You will definitely want to rent a car or arrange transportation. We found the Bajan people to be incredibly welcoming and friendly. The country takes COVID precautions seriously requiring masks, temperature checks at entrances and contact tracing throughout the island. We felt very safe and cared for during our visit.
