"The setting is perfect, overlooking Freshwater Bay, and the hotel has been beautifully restored. Everywhere feels very spacious and comfortable. The staff are lovely and clearly wanted us to have a wonderful experience staying at the hotel. They dealt with my irritating dietary requirements with concern and professionalism and were all friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back."

"This is a beautifully situated old mill on a gentle stream with gorgeous grounds. Idyllic. Just outside Lymington but a short 8 minute drive into town or to the ferry. Dinner was good with excellent service. Nice room, comfy beds, good bathroom. We were there on the hottest day of the year so it was very hot in the room but a fan was provided which helped."

"The location of the hotel was perfect with views of the harbour and the lymington sea water baths are in walking distance . The hotel has free parking ,staff are friendly and helpfull. Our room was very clean and of a high standard . There was a good selection for breakfast to suit all tastes. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Mayflower hotel."

"We stayed at Passford for two nights and really enjoyed our visit. The grounds and gardens were beautiful, such a tranquil environment and a fitting setting for such an interesting and attractive property. The hotel is steeped in history, Super amenities. Comfortable room with cosy beds. The staff were friendly and welcoming; very helpful and accommodating of additional requests. "Difficult review. On the one hand, perfect location, great view, good bed, very helpful staff and nice food. On the other hand, the room was very uncomfortable. Unbearably hot with windows that only open a crack. Very low sloped ceilings in about half the room (which was already tiny). Okay if you're under 5 foot five. At 6 foot 2 my partner hit his head several times, jarred his back ducking to avoid hitting his head and had to bend over backwards to use the toilet. The room was very...

"Perfect for overnight airport stay"

"FANTASTIC HOTEL. The location, the service, the bar and restaurant were all truly 5 star. Woke up this morning after truly good sleep in massive room overlooking the priory and ruins. The reception staff was simply wonderful, just little things like letting us have a coffee and a croissant when we came in to drop suitcases off before check in time. Little drink tokens on the house, to be enjoyed in a truly gorgeous bar & restaurant. We loved everything and will be back 😊"

We had dinner in the Jetty which was fabulous down by the waters edge with.a delicious prawn spaghetti and cod with crab.served by a very helpful young lady who was rushed off her feet. "A great hotel in lovely setting , we have been coming here for short breaks for 20 years . Staff are always super helpful and facilities are great . Breakfast not as good as it used to be with only buffet option , should re- introduce the no charge al a carte menu for those who don’t enjoy buffet.
