A few things I must say, who ever cleans the house needs to be replaced; there was dog food behind the couch, multiple spider webs on light fixtures, dirty mirrors, misc things on the floor, a soda can under the tv stand and a big chunk of glass under one of the chairs. For some reason there are 2 bottle openers, 2 potato peelers but no spatula. I have NO idea why they don't put small flip latch locks on the bathroom doors, it was a bit of a challenge with multiple adults in the house. Beware that the bed in the master bedroom is as hard as a brick but I slept amazingly well!!! I didn't find that the street noise was as bad as some were saying. It IS a busy street but not crazy. Overall it was a decent stay!Overall we had a nice stay

Amenities were adequate. Cooking pans were old and burnt. Luckily, we always bring our own cookware. Dishes were very elegant. Although, no adequate cutting knife was available The only cutting knife in the Haus was extremely dull. We had to buy our own. The Haus was extremely clean, which we truly appreciated! We were very pleased with that. However, there were barn doors used as doors for the bathrooms and no locking mechanism. Anyone could walk in at any time. One bathroom was a Jack & Jill style and accessibile/viewable from the kitchen. We found that to be extremely offensive because of lack of privacy AND in the kitchen. The master bedroom shower only had half a glass door. No way to keep the heat in or the water from splashing all over the floor outside. Overall, we truly enjoyed the Haus!

Had problem with sewer gas smell in the main living area and bathroom. Kudos to the management team for the quick response within 24 hrs with a plumber. I suggested they have that issue looked at thoroughly before the house is rented again. Don’t know if they will follow up on that or not. Renter beware..I’d definitely check the status on the plumbing before committing to the contract. First experience we have ever had with short term rentals and certainly hope it’s the last.

Great stay, could use some improvement

We had a great time overall at the Green Pony but there are definitely some improvements that could be made to make the stay excellent. First of all, there was dog hair everywhere! I realize it was pet friendly but it was excessive. Neither of the bathrooms or the bedrooms had locks on them. Mostly not a big deal but one bathroom is right off of the kitchen and with kids, you have no idea who will walk in. The kitchen had very limited cooking utensils. We found a dog brush in the same drawer as some of the utensils! There is no table set up so we had to move it out in order to eat our meals. The small bathroom smelled like sewage for two days. And lastly, I realize it was mentioned in the listing but the road noise is excessive.

Great space for Family Gathering

Grandpa, with son, two daughters in law, and two infant grandkids made great use of the space. The extra large closet was nice for all the kids gear and plenty of space to spread out. The back patio was delightful all day in the shade, for early morning coffee, and even after we got home for the day to be outside while the kids were getting tucked in inside.

Out of all the places we have stayed in Fredericksburg this was our favorite.

This home is perfect for just two or up to 6 people. Located in a quiet neighborhood. Just wish they had an area for a fire pit but this is a great place and will be back!!!

Very nice decor and comfortable home to stay in. Close to town but on a very busy corner. Tons of dead insects under and behind the couch. Although they have a door with code lock, they ask you stop by their office to pick up physical keys.

Constant Traffic Noise- Do not Stay Here!!

Unfortunately stayed here Dec.21-24. If I could give zero stars, I would. This renovated house is on an extremely busy street which runs into a main thoroughfare. There is Constant Traffic noise all day and night; not just cars but large trucks. It sounded like they were coming through the master bedroom. I called the Property Owner immediately after the first night when none of us had slept. It was clear she wouldn’t refund any of money we spent. This was our family Christmas vacation and it was horrible because none of us slept. I’ve been using VRBO for over 10 years and never had to make a complaint. The property owner doesn’t care, that was clear. She never checked on us after I made the complaint after the first night, and we couldn’t find other accommodations since it was Christmas. They should be ashamed to rent this property at such a high price knowing of this issue. No integrity or honesty. I would NEVER recommend this place or Gastehaus Schmidt, the rental company.

Nice House but Stay Could Have Been better

I really liked the house overall. Good sized living room, decent kitchen, and comfortable patio. There were three bedrooms with plenty of space for everyone that stayed over. I want to point out a couple of things. The Wifi didn't work and most of our bathroom towels were wet/damp. I reached out to the owner and they never answered. That was frustrating. Fredericksburg is a great town and this place is nicely located. easy enough to get to all the wineries.

Perfect Stay

House was just as described. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Nice linens. Well stocked kitchen. Beautiful outdoor area. Close to downtown yet feels like the country. We highly recommend this property.
