Way above expectations! 10 out of 10.The house was exceptionally comfortable ... bedrooms, water pressure, A/C, living room. We actually only used one of the living rooms ... it's a big place.Hiking on property was more enjoyable for our group than Enchanted Rock, though we recommend both.Sitting around the fire pit at night and watching the stars was as relaxing as you would hope.The owners can provide great recommendations for restaurants in and around town, etc. Enjoy.

We loved this place-our stay was over Christmas. So clean, kitchen well stocked, beds were awesome. Mark (the owner) even had a Christmas tree setup in the den which was a special surprise. We loved the setting- deer in the yard, and so quiet. The weather was unseasonably warm and we sat on the porch for hours. It was beautiful. Mark was so available and responded to any questions we had almost immediately. It is a bit out of town, but so worth it. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing. Exactly as pictured and beautiful location. The rooms were so comfortable. Stayed there with my extended family as we were celebrating my son's engagement. The ensuite bedrooms were so spacious and comfortable as was the one on the main floor. The large living room was great for a gathering place for the 12 of us staying there. Deer were running around in the front of the house as we drove in. We were not able to use the firepit while we were there so we may have to come back enjoy that. Mark stopped by to make sure everything was good and gave us his number to contact him if we had any issues. We had none. A gem of place and highly recommend it.

This house is so beautiful and the setting is private, surrounded by live oaks, wildflowers, lush green woods, deer, rabbits, and we even saw a road runner!The house is meticulous and so well maintained. It’s on a road where many cattle farms are so you are always seeing cattle and steer grazing. We all loved being there. I highly recommend this home.

Beautiful historic getaway on the outskirts of Fredricksburg

Mark was a fantastic host and the property was absolutely beautiful! Mark started communicating immediately after we booked and was very thorough in making sure we had everything we needed for a beautiful stay. Truly can’t say enough about this lovely property and its even more lovely host!

Beautiful hiking vacation!

Our family had a great time at Das Enchanted Rock Haus. The beds were comfortable, AC worked well, and the location was perfect. We enjoyed hiking the property as well. Only minor issue was that wifi was out after the first night. We brought dvds so no problem plus hiked and other things. The property also has a small cottage-Das Enchanted Cottage which was located in front part of property in case anyone was wondering about the layout. Would definitely stay again.

Das Enchanted Rock Haus

Das Enchanted Rock Haus was an excellent choice for our group. The space, amenities, and grounds were fantastic. The full moon rising in the dark star filled night added to the enjoyment the upper outside deck.Tubs as well as showers met the routines of our 10 guests.Also, comfortable seating around the dinning table. Morning walk around the properties perimeter was tranquil and set the stage for a wonderful day. Thank you!

Dream Come True

We booked this property because our daughter was getting married at Enchanted Rock and it was beyond what we could have imagined!!! It was absolutely spotless and stunning inside! We really loved the stone walls and private bedroom suites. Our wedding party felt so spoiled to be able to stay at such a beautiful historic work of art :) The proximity to the park was very instrumental in helping us set up and then come back and get ready. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for sharing your incredible property with us!

Wonderful property!

Our entire family, 2 sons and 5 grandchildren enjoyed everything about Enchanted Rock Haus. It was very comfortable indoors and the hikes up to the bluff overlooking the house were enjoyed by all. We would definitely come back and stay here again. Wish we could have stayed longer.! Praying the property is spared from the wildfire today .

Hill Country Paradise

We were a group of 9 friends and family from all over the USA celebrating a 70th birthday for hiking and wine tasting in the hill country of Texas. This was a perfect place for us, about 15 min from Fredericksburg but remote enough to view wildlife and hike through the amazing hill country ecosystem (without leaving the property). House was clean, elegant and well-stocked. Would go back in a heart beat, perhaps before the 80th birthday, just loved it.

Magical Weekend!

This was our second time to stay at Das Enchanted Haus. It was even more spectacular this time! The house is perfect for our five couples. It's comfortable, peaceful and extremely well kept. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, grilling outside and even gathering around the fire pit for a glorious evening under the stars. We will return!

Peaceful place

We enjoyed our stay. It was a great place for our family. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. It made it nice. Very peaceful atmosphere. We saw several deer. The kids were a little disappointed that there were no chickens as the pictures showed but overall we had a great time.
