  • Esta casa de piedra caliza histórico de finales de siglo se encuentra en una huerta de nogal verde, sin embargo, es en realidad dentro de la ciudad de Fredericksburg, a sólo 3 minutos de la calle principal. Esta bucólica propiedad de 5 acres es un "retroceso", siendo lo que queda de una granja de más de 30 acres establecida por inmigrantes alemanes en el siglo XIX. Tejas Dall ovejas y ciervos de cola blanca nativos pastan en una escena pastoral que se convierte efectivamente en su propio enclave personal (tirar un poco de maíz para ellos si no le importa).

    Experimentar el ajetreo de la calle principal, Wine tour Ruta 290, tome en algunas canciones en Luckenbach, caminar Enchanted Rock, la experiencia del Museo de Nimitz, o encontrarse con cualquiera de las otras numerosas ofertas únicas de Fredericksburg, a continuación, volver a este santuario. Family Trip

We were in Fredericksburg to celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas and my Mother's 92nd Birthday. The house was perfect, in town with a country feel. We absolutely loved it.

Cute, peaceful and convenient Bungalow

Our stay was wonderful, we had everything we needed and our accommodations were perfect. This property is conveniently close to main street, so it made our travel to restaurants, and shopping easy to get to. I only have one suggestion..I feel like the property needs at least one walk-in shower for those individuals who cannot get in a tub for fear of falling.

Lovely time in Fredericksburg

The property was just as described. We had a great relaxing time for thanksgiving and enjoyed the home. Plenty of room to spread out and we had a nice time outside with the fire pit. The animals were a great addition to the overall feel. Very close to the downtown area and shops. Beautiful at Christmas time.

Awesome place

Awesome place for a group of ladies!!! Everyone had their own beds to sleep in. The sheep and Ollie the horse were a pleasant surprise as well. The house could have used a little extra cleaning but that’s the only thing that wasn’t perfect. All in all I’d stay here again!!!!

‘Uniquely’ Beautiful!

This place is uniquely beautiful! The stone walls and wooden floors take you back to a time where things were simpler. It’s like going to Grandma’s, with the old quilts, the rod-iron beds and the squeaky floorboards. There’s plenty of room for the whole family, so everyone can have their own space. I thought that this place was going to be further out of town when reading the description, but it’s not! It’s very conveniently located just far enough away from the hustle & bustle of downtown Fredericksburg, but close enough that your there in less than 5 minutes. Great place to stay!

Bathroom tubs need to be cleaned and re caulked.Outside patio needs to be cleaned,, blown, etc.They need to put a gate on driveway for security.Small street gate needs fixing.Painting touch ups and pressure washing must be done.Respectfully, Herbert Castillo

Going Back in Time

We do Vrbo's all the time and this was the first time we tried an antique house. Overall, it was a good stay with lots of room. The dogs loved the (partially) fenced in front yard, so they had time to stretch their legs. The back yard fire pit was semi-private, so we used it almost every night. Firewood was provided, which was a plus. Keep in mind this is not a 5-star resort being that the house is probably 100+ years old. Floors squeak and lots of antiques inside that made me feel like I was in my Grandparents farmhouse (good thing). Wi-Fi, none as listed. Hit and miss using cellular data. Goes from 5 bars to 2 at a blink of an eye (Verizon). When we got there and tried to open the email for the door code and arrival instructions, it would not pull up even though we had 5 bars, so we sat on the front porch for a bit until a local friend of ours showed up with his truck Wi-Fi. Then we were able to get into the ap. and call the manager who seemed upset with us for calling him. Maybe he was having a bad evening, I don't know. Great one-time experience, but my family of 7 that I travel with, will go back to cabins/RV next year.

A little taste of the country

My sister & I had a great time "social distancing" here! Had plenty of room and near downtown- but away from then general public;). Easy to get to points of interest. Loved Ollie and the sheep(it was a good experience for my dogs-they've never seen sheep/equine). Thanks so much to the property owners for this relaxing place to stay!

Was better than even expected! Very pleasantly surprised.

Great house and location. Property owner was very helpful and responsive. The sheep and Ollie the horse were an added treat all weekend. Would highly recommend!!!

Charming quiet place

We can highly recommend this property. We had some great stays with VRBO and some regrettable ones: this one was a great choice. Charming, peaceful part of Fredericksburg. Great getaway, calm back porch, close to everything. Kids enjoyed feeding the horse and sheep but could stay away if wanted. House is as advertised: cozy, definietly has a style, better than the picures. Thanks for having us here, we may return.

I'm ready to go back!

This house is so charming and wonderful. The location is quiet, about a mile from main street. We walked downtown several times and enjoyed the area. And easy drive to Enchanted Rock. The house had everything we needed for our family. Enough beds so every teenager had his own place to sleep and enough space to spread out at the end of the day. The kitchen was large and very functional. We enjoyed the sheep and horse. Just made the place extra charming. Plenty of pillows, blankets and linens for everyone. House was very clean and ready for us. I really want to come back!

Neat old property

We had a family reunion and loved this place. The kids loved the animals (horse and sheep). The location was just a couple minutes from downtown.

Old town charm

Property was very enjoyable - front bedroom did have a little bit of dusty floor. I chose those property due to being a past member of the Methodist Church and was married by monty on 11-1-2003. Colleen was always so uplifting with her music. Miss my Fredericksburg Methodist family.

Great weekend

We went as a family to celebrate my mom's 85th birthday so had range of ages from adults to little kids. It was absolutely perfect for everyone!! We would Definately stay there again. Lots of space. Animals for kids to feed. Fire pit. It was all perfect!!

Peaceful, slept like a lamb.

We had a very peaceful and quiet 4th of July long weekend. Loved morning and evenings communing with the sheep. Bill had provided all the essentials.. 1st time in Fredericksburg; enjoyed it!

Lovely place!

We really enjoyed staying here. The house was spacious and charming. The kids loved the sheep and loved feeding them. There was plenty of room for our party of ten. Everything worked well and we had no issues with the property during our stay.

An Awesome country experience in the city. Wonderful old rock house with all the modern conveniences

I saw this house and we rented it at the very last minute. The owner was more than accommodating and super friendly. The old German rock house is set on 5 acres which comes with goats and an awesome fire pit. The house was completely stocked with everything we needed. We could not have asked for a greater rental. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for the old German rock house Fredericksburg experience. Sorry we had to leave but we will definitely be back.

Perfect place to stay and relax in Fredericksburg

We used Bill's house for a small family reunion and had an outstanding stay. Property is close to Main Street, but in a quiet and relaxing area of town. It had everything needed to accommodate and feed our family. House is very comfortable, clean, well appointed, and has a nice rustic, historic vibe. The kids really enjoyed feeding the Dall sheep that live on the back half of the property. Great place for guests with pets. Plenty of room outside for dogs and there are a couple of pens outside that can used when you go to town. Bill was an outstanding host. Highly recommend this property.

Beautiful and historic!!

A group of us girls went to Fredericksburg for a low key bachelorette weekend at the wineries and this was the perfect place for us to stay!! The home is charming and cozy with plenty of room for the 9 of us. The beds were so comfortable and the house had everything we needed to enjoy a fun and relaxing weekend stay away from home. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Perfection

Every detail of this house my sisters and I adore. The owner thought of everything we could possibly need. All the cooking supplies, some groceries, spices, chopped firewood. You name it! Every time I’d need something... there it was. In a rental, sometimes the microwave is confusing, or the stove is tricky. Or the air conditioning is not so great . Not here! Clean fresh beautiful. Love the friendly pack of goats in the back yard! So cool!
