With a king bed, vaulted tin ceilings, and a private courtyard, this boutique retreat is just minutes from Main Street and Hill Country wineries.



The Space:

*Temporary Notice: Our outdoor shower was unfortunately damaged in the recent ice storm and will be out of service until April 1 as we source a replacement. All other amenities remain fully operational.*



Bedroom:

Unwind in a king-sized bed with luxury linens, complete with a double-sided fireplace for the perfect romantic atmosphere. An oversized soaking tub sits within the bedroom area, creating a boutique spa experience right in your suite. A flat-screen Roku TV makes it easy to relax with a favorite show after a day of exploring.



Bathroom:

Refresh in the walk-in shower stocked with spa-inspired amenities: plush towels, a hair dryer, and high-quality Public Goods shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.



Kitchenette:

Designed for convenience with a mini-fridge, microwave, sink, and complimentary Hill Country–roasted coffee. A chic bistro nook offers the perfect spot for breakfast or an evening glass of wine.



Living Area:

Lounge on the velvet sofa beneath the vaulted original tin ceilings, a unique design feature that blends historic character with a modern boutique feel.



Courtyard:

Step outside to your private courtyard oasis with a hot tub, outdoor shower, fire pit (bring your own wood), and TV. Whether it’s morning coffee or wine under the stars, this space is made for relaxation and connection.



Guest Access:

You’ll have the entire cottage and private courtyard to yourself. This includes the bedroom with soaking tub, walk-in shower bathroom, kitchenette, living area, and outdoor retreat with hot tub, fire pit, outdoor shower, and TV.



For parking, there is free parallel streetside parking directly in front of the property, just steps from the cottage’s front door — making arrival simple and stress-free.



The Neighborhood:

The Cottage is set on what was once an 1880s homestead, offering a quiet Hill Country escape just one mile from Fredericksburg’s historic Main Street. Guests love being close to the action — wineries, restaurants, and boutique shops — while still enjoying the privacy of their own retreat. A short stroll out back leads to open fields and peaceful sunset views.



Getting Around:

Parking is easy with free parallel streetside parking at the front of the property, steps from the Cottage. For exploring the area, you’ll have access to Post Oak Driving Co., our in-house service specializing in private wine tours and driving experiences. As a Porch Light guest, you’ll enjoy priority booking and exclusive discounted rates for safe, luxury rides to Fredericksburg’s wineries, restaurants, and attractions.



Other Things to Note:

-Check-in: 4:00 PM | Check-out: 11:00 AM

-Add-ons available for purchase by request: firewood bundles, charcuterie boards, flowers + chocolates, early check-in, and late check-out.

-Pets welcome with approval — $50 per night fee (request after booking).

-Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM to respect the property and neighborhood.

-No smoking or vaping inside The Cottage or anywhere on the property.





The Cottage is part of The Gathering, a boutique property with five other units: four 1-bedroom/1-bath cottages, a larger house, and a 2-bedroom/2-bath house.

-Every unit has its own private courtyard with hot tub and amenities.

-All amenities listed in this description are private to The Cottage only.
