The house is cute and in a great part of town. However, while we were out after check in someone was in the home and left black plastic gloves on the living room floor. We had sat there before we left, and they would have been impossible to miss if they had been there when we arrived. Two panicked calls to the “host” just got me to an answering service for a property rental. They said they would have the owner contact me urgently, but it was over half an hour before this happened and it was only by text. They maintained the gloves must have been left earlier by a cleaning person, but see photos again about how this is impossible. They were unwilling to do a property check or examine other points of entry (like the “broken” side door). It was nerve racking and disappointing to stay the night there knowing we couldn’t be sure no one else would enter. The other issues we had were with the representation online. There IS a small kitchen set up, but with a mini fridge and no real freezer space. The photo below is of the entire kitchen capabilities (not pictured in the listing when I booked). The king bedroom off the living room has the bed so close to the doorway that the door cannot close- any noise or light or interaction from the living room is just a foot away from the bed through the open door. These are things that mattered for my plans for my stay, and I’m sharing just so that you can see if they matter for yours.
