Excellent stay
We are 2 couples who spent 4 weeks at this villa and found it to be an excellent accommodation. The villa is spacious, clean and well maintained with comfortable beds. The kitchen is roomy and has a great overhead fan. There were about 6-10 each of plates, bowls and cutlery, and the basics for utensils, but because we cooked most of our meals, we found that for 4 people, we sometimes had to hand wash things to get through the day. There is a Wi-Fi 5 router which functioned well, and we did not need a Wi-Fi extender, even in the palapa. The palapa was well-shaded, rain proof and was nicely cooled by the breezes. It even has a power outlet and an overhead light.The outside seating area and dining table were fine to use during the day but, even with 2 powerful overhead fans, the mosquitos drove us inside after dark. All power outlets are two prong European style (Type C) so North American devices need an adaptor. The pool was clean and refreshing. It’s pump is on an intermittent timer, which helps with electrical costs.Fontein is a well maintained, gated community in which it is easy to enjoy a walk, despite there being no sidewalks. There is a fair amount of construction on the northwest side, but this villa is in a quieter area. Unfortunately, the only restaurant in the community closed in December 2024. For us, insect screens and an inside table would be a nice addition, but overall, this was a really great place to stay and we highly recommend it.
