While we enjoyed our time at Folly Beach, this property should not be listed as newly renovated as I believe this is misleading. I understand rentals get a ton of wear and tear and this one isn’t an exception. Much of the furniture was in need of a good cleaning and repair. The dishwasher door is a safety hazard for small children as is one of the balcony chairs. The property pools were extremely dirty regardless of day or time of day. It was difficult to secure a cart to load as the maintenance and cleaning crew were using many of them. We had one parked outside our door with the new linens for turnover in it for over 1 day. The cleaning company showed up before 9:30am - checkout is 10:00am. Thankfully we had just finished packing up.
On to the positives- We definitely had plenty of space for our family of 8 and found the kitchen to be well stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware, cookware, etc. Our bed was very comfortable, as were the sofas and chairs in the living room area. The table accommodated our family well for meals. Appliances worked well. Location is walkable to restaurants, shops , etc. We loved that there are three king sized beds and a bathroom for each (one serves as a Jack and Jill - worked for our family) and provided the privacy we desires. Check in and checkout was very easy and the office was conveniently located and staff seemed friendly.
