We enjoyed our stay at Beachwalk Villas during our family vacation to Folly Beach. The villa was close to the pier/beach accesses, right by Center Street, and within walking distance to anything you may need or want to do during your stay.
The hosts were friendly and quick to respond to any of our questions or requests we had during our stay, like parking and extra linens.
However, there are a few things that I’d change to turn this villa in to a 5-star place to stay. The living room couch is very uncomfortable and dirty. It had dried stains and food spots stuck to the couch that should’ve been cleaned before hosting. It should definitely be replaced ASAP. The floors were dirty and must not have been mopped before we checked in, as the bottom of our feet were covered in dark dirt once we walked barefoot through the home for the first time. There were pieces of fruit loop cereal left in the floor of one of the rooms, and baby food snacks around the living room couch.
One reason we booked the villa was due to it having a full kitchen. We did a lot of cooking during our week-long stay, and there are a few kitchen essentials that should be added to the kitchen, such as a cutting board, cookie sheet, and pizza cutter.
Having a washer and dryer was so nice, especially since everything gets sandy at the beach!
With the villa being right next to Center St., it does get a little loud in the evening. We didn’t mind, but someone with infants/small children may consider booking elsewhere.
All in all, these are minor issues that can be fixed, and we had a wonderful time during our vacation.
