Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Cattolica vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, pack in your passport, official ID, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a laptop filled with your favorite shows are good options. If you plan to catch more than just forty winks, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you touchdown looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and fireworks, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be the goal when selecting what to wear on board. Consider your choice of footwear with care too, as swollen feet and ankles can be a side effect of flying. Roomy, closed-toed shoes are always a sensible way to go.
- Most travelers have heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of inactivity. There are many ways to reduce your risk. Don a pair of compression socks or tights, drink lots of water and get your legs and feet moving. Do a lap or two of the cabin or perform some simple exercises in your seat.
