"Terrible experience, 1st night room was like a shoe box extremely hot in this heat wave with no air con and windows open 2inches with massive extractor fan outside very noisy and smelly, complained but waste time staff didn't want to know, took 2 & half hours of complaining at night to get them to turn extractor off so we could get some sleep, went off nearly 2am! Moved room next day but again no air con anywhere in hotel or rooms so extremely hot again in this heat wave....place is tired and...

The room was basic, which would have been fine had it not been let down by poor house keeping. Beds and towels were changed and that was it. "Rooms were clean, staff helpful and, in short, excellent. In house WiFi was weak and intermittent. The rooms looked a little tired but not scruffy. Plenty of parking (except on entertainment night. This wasn't to my taste but was very popular with the larger audience) but there is ample street parking and the road is not busy. Here is an ancient lift which worked faultlessly!"

"Overall, it was a nice hotel and I enjoyed my stay. The facilities were simple, including the traditional hotel key, which gave the hotel an olden feel. The room was comfortable and well presented. One suggestion for improvement would be to provide a mini fridge in the rooms, as this would be very convenient for guests. In addition, during hot weather, providing portable air conditioning units would make the stay much more comfortable, especially in both standard and family rooms."
