"We stayed at the cottage for a night while on our way to the Badlands and Black Hills for a week. The space is perfect, has everything you need, and is right across the street from the Corn Palace. We would definitely stay there again!"

"The Happy Place is a perfect little house. I would have actually liked to know more about the property's history. We were very comfortable there-I loved the old Philco refrigerator that is still running perfectly. Interesting artifacts to explore. The shelving gave me ideas for my own little cottage in PA. "Beautiful house on the prairie with everything (& more) you need for a comfortable stay! My mom grew up in Wessington and we have plenty of family in the area so this was the perfect location for us. We enjoyed peaceful sunrises & sunsets and time catching up with family on the back porch. Beds were comfortable and the space had plenty of room for 4 people - highly recommend! "

"This was a wonderful place to stay. It was very close to where I grew up and a perfect place for us ex-farm people to revisit our roots without any of the hard work!! Hosts were great, I was very late in checking in because a previous engagement was running longer than expected. They were very understanding and accommodating . I have already recommended this location to friends and would definitely stay here again!"

"Clean, homey, walking distance to everything, our host communicated well and provided everything that we needed! We toured all of the Laura Ingall’s Wilder sites and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! "Spacious, rooms were clean living room was inviting, laundry units was available in the basement if needed. The only things that disappointed us was a small bathroom (which the way the house is, its nothing about the all in all experience ) i will definitely have another reservation hopefully soon. 10 out of 10 ❤️"

"I would give the house five stars based on location in the neighborhood. House was always available for anything we needed. It is pet friendly so another plus is that they have a fenced in backyard for your pets the house had everything we needed overall was a good experience staying here for the week that I was here while I was working, would highly recommend to anyone"
