The Shell House was perfect for us. The location was just minutes from Manasota Beach & an easy drive to other beaches in the area. It was very comfortable & had everything we needed, plus lots of extras from our hosts. Hosts were very responsive with any questions we had & gave excellent recommendations for dining, activities, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Stay!

The home was beautiful, well stocked and the location was perfect just a 3 minute drive to Manasota Beach and an easy 5 minute bike ride. Hosts super responsive and attentive to detail, would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again! Thank you so much for such a valuable experience!

Thanks for the lemon drops...

Kim and Alan's Shell House was a very relaxing and quiet, close to beaches and centrally located. Well appointed with every thing that you would need. Kim and Alan have very homey touches everywhere.Again Ron says sorry for the plate ;)

We thoroughly enjoyed the house and the location. Lots of nice touches all around the house to make you feel at home. House is perfectly located near the beach without being too close. The Hosts were wonderful in their communications and we highly recommend the Shell House!

We were completely satisfied with this property. Very clean and comfortable. Many "extras" left by the owners, including fruit, chocolates, water, bicycles, beach towels, etc. Close to the beach (1 mile). Owners were very responsive to texts. Would highly recommend this place.

We loved our stay, Kim and Alan had the house stocked beautifully and the garage had everything a person could want for a day at the beach!!! The backyard bbq, fire pit and lounge chairs were wonderful, we would recommend the house for anyone interested in a true Florida experience.

Perfect Vacation

This was our most comfortable stay we have ever had using VRBO! Really felt at home the whole time. We had a long road trip so we LOVED having access to the full garage (and remote clicker). Kim & Alan left us goodies that were completely unexpected but lovely to enjoy (bottled water, root beer, fresh strawberries/dessert cups, wine, chocolate gators!). Also, 2 mins from Manasota Beach, but also 20 mins to South Brohard/Caspersen made this a great spot! Would ABSOLUTELY stay here again. Thanks so much for sharing your space with us!!

Home away from home

Shell House is a perfect retreat especially under imperfect conditions. Red tide and unseasonably cool temperatures limited outdoor activity but the arms of Shell House wrapped around us. The interior of the house offers plenty of soft places to land. The front porch allowed us to bask in the radiant heat; the deck required jackets but well worth it since Kim and Alan have a feeder and provide food for the squirrels and birds which were abundant. The first time we took out the bikes, one developed a flat. Texting the owners asking if they could repair the tire, they instead brought us brand new his and her bikes to ride…within hours. Fresh fruit, chocolates, key lime pie, waters, and wine upon arrival spoke volumes for us. They were expecting us. We were honored guests the minute we walked into Shell House. And Kim and Alan will always be, to us, we’ll-respected hosts. Thank you so much!

Holiday getaway

The property was a beautiful as the write up said. The hosts supplied us with many additional items that made out trip exceptional. We would definitely stay there again!VRBO was the only difficult part as they charged me differently than first contracted but the host made it right.

Wonderful vacation!

Such a beautiful home- everything was perfect! Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, and so many beach items provided. Close to a beautiful beach. Owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. One of the nicest VRBO listings we’ve stayed at. An all around great experience. Will be back!

Shark Tooth hunting trip!

We had a Great time in the Venice/ Englewood area even with tropical storm Debbie! The house was everything we could of asked for! Had everything we needed in the kitchen and all parts of the house. All thing things you need for the beach! Almost like being at home. The hosts couldn't have been any better! During the storm messaging us to make sure everything is ok and giving me some pointers on fishing! Supper friendly! We had a great time and would definitely recommend.

Do not hesitate!!!

This was our first time booking any type of vacation rental, of course other than hotels. We weren't sure what to expect. From the ease of accessing the property to the fluffy towels everything was perfect. Everything you could need was right in place and much more. The owners were right there just a text away and responded super quickly. If you are all about beautiful beaches, this will check all of the boxes. Literally minutes from the beach. The property is beautiful with whimsy decor that is just adorable. The home is comfy, warm and welcoming. We had an awesome first time VRBO rental and we will surely be back!

We had a great stay at the Shell house the house had everything we needed! The host were super responsive and left sweet little treats for us when we arrived!!! The location is close to several beautiful beaches and restaurants!!! Our favorite beach was Stump Pass, but they were all beautiful with tons of shells to collect. I would definitely stay at the Shell house again, highly recommended this house!!!!

Amazing, all the amenities and close to the beach!

If you’re questioning to book or not, just do it!! This house was the best! They have everything you’d ever need for a beach trip and more. From beach towels, to sifters, to seasonings and ziplock bags.. if you forget something im sure they’ll have it! It’s so cute and perfect for a vacation. Close to the beach, adorable outdoor patio and plenty of room. The owners are absolutely wonderful and so so easy to communicate with. We texted to ask for extra propane and they had it out within minutes. We are so thankful we chose the shell house and will 100% be back for a future stay!

We had a wonderful time at the Shell house. It’s centrally located to a lot of beaches that are all beautiful. The house very clean and has all the amenities that you need. Every time I was needing something I would look around and there it was. I would definitely recommend the Shell House.

Perfect location

Kim & Alan are amazing hosts, the house was clean and cozy. They have thought of everything, the house is stocked with everything you need and more! We loved going shark tooth hunting at Manasota Key beach. We were short driving distance to all the stores, great location to visit Venice and Sarasota without being at the overly crowded touristy places. We loved the casual low key vibe in this area. We spent many nights on the back deck. We most definitely will be back to stay in your beautiful home, thank you for making our visit so special for our boys and for my special surprises for my birthday :) you truly are wonderful people!

Gorgeous house!!

This was our 2nd time because we love this house. It is so clean and just like the pictures! And they add special touches! Everything you need is there. From soap & shampoo to beach chairs, towels and toys for the beach. It is so close to the beach it is just mins away and they are the most beautiful beaches. My fav is blind pass. And the best restaurants are all around. It all makes for an easy relaxing vacation. And I am sure we will be back here again!! The owners are super nice!! Oh and the backyard is decorated so nice and I really enjoyed all the plants and birds!! They really make sure every inch of their home is setup for you to enjoy your vacation!
