"Arrive to meet host, showed around, clean tidy, perfect communication throughtout the stay. We did have a small issue through the stay and this was dealt with efficiently and promptly. "We very much enjoyed our stay . The place was very clean and comfortable. Location worked very well with any thing we needed being in walking distance even the train station. The goodies left by the host were very enjoyable. The only issue we came across was having to remind my husband who is 6'3" to duck when entering some of the rooms. Of course you have to expect that in an old building. "

"The room was clean, and a great location in Southsea. A few small issues: the TV stopped working on our last morning, the bath had not been used and the water ran yellow, but the shower was fine. A cloth to do the washing up would have been of use. Overall the room was a great base for our weekend away."

"Hotel staff and rooms were fine but unfortunately the food in the restaurant was not! We were there to celebrate our daughter’s 50th birthday and bitterly disappointed. My food was cold because I had to wait so long for my side order so ended up sending it back. Others food was Luke warm. I did complain the next day and the operations manager very kindly refunded the bottle of champagne to us. Breakfast was ok and a good variety. Hence we didn’t eat there on our second night. "
