Stairs outside need looking at as very worn out and not enough utensils pizza tray didn’t fit the small oven. The local Woodmancote pub was great for Sunday lunch and you get a 20% discount too."

"This is a rather special and quite unique place to stay. I've long been fascinated by the Deckhouses at Emsworth, houses on stilts overlooking both Thorney island and the harbour. "This was a brilliant stop over place on our long journey, clean, private and a relief from the car, setting upright for hours! I would definite recommend it. They had coffee and teas and microwave for quick meals be brought from lldil 10mins away. "The Shepherds Hut was fantastic. Friday night was great. Romantic as we wanted. Very cosy!Saturday night was ruined somewhat. A couple of power cuts forced a move to a larger accommodation, although good, lost the tranquility of the Shepherds Hut. Neither of us slept very well, both finding the bed in the new accommodation most uncomfortable!We left Westerland @ 1000 am, both wanting to get on with the rest of our weekend."

"On arrival it was a bit dark. No lightning to cabins. I think maybe solar lightning or something!! Stepped into cabin it was nice and warm as picked the coldest night of the year so dar to turn up. "Hotel staff and rooms were fine but unfortunately the food in the restaurant was not! We were there to celebrate our daughter’s 50th birthday and bitterly disappointed. My food was cold because I had to wait so long for my side order so ended up sending it back. Others food was Luke warm. I did complain the next day and the operations manager very kindly refunded the bottle of champagne to us. Breakfast was ok and a good variety. Hence we didn’t eat there on our second night. "
