Amazing family getaway

We couldn’t have asked for a better family vacation. This property had everything we needed to enjoy quality family time together. We barely left. We will return next year!

Nice place needs some updates and TLC

Overall house was great for JMU graduation weekend stay. Few things that I noticed were in previous reviews from a 2023 /2024 that still need addressed and wanted others to know as they make decisions for stay at this property. House AC upstairs struggled to keep cool downstairs was an icebox. Downstairs bathroom in need of several repairs . Shower door needs realigned kept coming off track , shower pan soft and felt like would break and broken floor LVP near toilet . All toilets slow to flush . All showers have no shelf , shampoo and soap has to sit on the floor . Would suggest to property owners puting in shelf or shower caddy . No bean bags as advertised in listing in bunk room and outside fire pit chairs advertised 10 only 5 available , additionally no lounge chairs as advertised. My only other suggestion is updating kitchen amenities, crockpot onsight didn’t work . Overall great location !

Beautiful property to relax and spend time with family. Spacious and clean with plenty of outdoor space to grill, sit by the fire pit or just enjoy the views and sounds of the river. Hosts were very responsive and accommodating.

Unclean and ignored by host

I have written an email in detail to the host and hopefully this is an anomaly they learn from but the property was not clean when we got there. Even though I received a welcome text and the maintenance person told me he was forwarded my texts, no one responded to them. I ended up messaging the host on another platform where there was also very limited responses… such as maintenance will come. I did ask for the cleaning fee to be refunded and they gave me $100 back. I would never stay at one of their properties again based on lack of communication. Honestly an apology would have gone a long way. Issues included ac not cooling down the house after several house/ceiling fan not turning on-maintenance could not get it on either and the very nice maintenance man said sorry and left with the house at 78. I did not hear from anyone until the next day when he showed up with a new fan. The dining room does not get cool- they need a fan in there. The sheets from one bed had never been changed from the previous guest. They smelled like body odor and food. Maybe an animal. There’s no way for a host to fix an issue like this, so an apology would have been nice when I informed them but they did not apologize or acknowledge it at all. Trash strewn about on the ground, broken items throughout the house. The tub is chipping/ cracked with sharp edges. General lack of repairs in the house. Having a high chair available was great. The house is decorated nicely.

Great property with fun opportunities for all.

We just returned from a full 3 days at this fine property. There was space for all of us to run, play outside and gather for meals inside and out in the pavilion. The interior is clean and nicely updated, although the kitchen flooring is rough. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and fire pit. The exterior and pavilion is well worn and needed to be cleaned. We did a lot of sweeping of seasonal frass and cobwebs to make it toddler friendly. We enjoyed the river and listening for birds. There is an open stairway to the river could use a gate. But our family agreed we would happily return.

Perfect Stay

Great and beautiful location. The hosts were extremely accommodating and kind. Me and my group had a great time out by the fire and in the outdoor area. It truly was a time we won't forget. 10/10 would recommend.

Perfect Fall Family Getaway

If I could give 10 stars I would. The house was beautiful and had everything you could need for an escape. The hot tub and fire pit was the cherry on top. Everything was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and super close to activities, shopping etc. We will definitely be returning.

A great house for a big group!

We had a lot of fun at this home! The perfect space for a large group. The hot tub area does have a lot of bugs and daddy long legs, so just be prepared to wipe it or get rid of the bugs somehow. Overall, it’s cozy and cute!

4th annual family vacation

Every year we look for a place for our annual family vacation. This year we decided to book this home. It was perfect for us! Had everything we needed and wanted. We were able to keep three 3 year olds, a 5 year old and 7 year happy and content with the pool, yard for running and the river right there. It was wonderful and will consider booking this again!!

Family Getaway

We had a great time at the house. We used the firepit, pool, outside shelter, and loved sitting around the big table having meals. It was close enough to Shenandoah for our day activities. We would highly recommend.

Stay overall was great! The place was really relaxing and we utilized the outside space, pool, and fire pit the entire weekend. The place comfortably fit 10 people and the yard was expansive for outdoor games! The only feedback I would say is that there was a coffee pot missing and the trash bins were full when we got there since there was no trash pick up on Friday

Beautiful location!

House is at the end of a farm lane just minutes from Shenandoah National Park/skyline drive. The house is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and well appointed. We came just after ski season ended and the home needed some minor repairs and the outside needed a winter clean up. There are the pieces of an above ground pool in the front yard. You cannot access the river from the property (steep drop) but the view is lovely. Highlights included the great fire-pit and kids’/bonus living spaces downstairs.
