"One would expect a chain hotel to meet certain standards. This was not the case at the Radisson Blu Kochin: - the service at 2 of the restaurants was very slow and inefficient: it took them 20 mins to let us know that the wine we had ordered was not available and 20 more to actually bring the drinks, that came when we were almost done with the food. We also waited 25 mins for a burger to find out that the fries were cold. - we had to ask 2 times to get toiletries in our bathroom"

"The dormitory is beautiful and probably the best I've ever been in. Had a Scandinavian feel to it as spacious and clean. Bathroom also spacious. However mostly male staff work here and they just walk into the all female dorms. One knock and they come in. Also when being cleaned through the day the doors are left open so rooms fill with mosquitos. You try and explain this and they can't understand English. Also no curtains for each bed so no privacy. Also serves meat at the hostel which I find...

"I recently stayed at Eighth Bastion during our trip to Fort Kochi and it was excellent experience. Staff was excellent and ready to assist. My room was spacious, clean and and incredibly comfortable. One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet, it had a great variety of fresh, delicious options. The location was walkable to beach, water metro and great attractions, also there are great cafe's closeby. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again!"
